The Heart of the Woods is obtained after defeating Nyleth inside her shrine in Silksong. Although the shrine location is part of Shellwood, players can access it from the Grand Gate.

Head to the Grand Shrine either from the Blasted Steps Bellway or Choral Chambers Station, and enter the lower door to the right.

Use Silk Soar inside this vertical room and proceed right. Navigate the narrow tunnels and pull the lever at the end to open a path.

Glide down and break the obstacle to open up a path to the left. Go down again and slash the veins blocking the way.

At the end of the path, turn right first into the Underworks and pay 15 Rosaries to open a bench and rest, since there's an upcoming battle. Make sure to equip the Ascendant's Grip and a decent tool that attacks automatically like the Cogfly, as they will come in handy when fighting the Nyleth inside the shrine.

Head left and use Silk Soar to reach the hanging block. Destroy the ropes to make the block fall, thus creating a path down.

Carefully navigate the area while avoiding the spikes until you reach a platform. Use the white flowers to gain height and go up to land on the top platform.

Slash the veins and jump up. Turn left to find the Shrine Guardian Seth blocking the way. You must defeat him before proceeding into the shrine.

The Shrine Guardian uses a combination of ranged attacks by throwing his shield then teleporting to its location, and an AoE attack where he surrounds his body with yellow particles that explode. Seth has a second phase where he uses the same moves but becomes much faster.

After defeating the Shrine Guardian, keep going left and enter the shrine. Play the Elegy of the Past near the fountain to face off Nyleth.

At first, Hornet can stand on a platform and fight off any incoming ranged attack while evading the AoE ones.

During the second phase, the platform disappears, and you can only jump on the wall opposite of Nyleth, which is why the Ascendant's Grip is important to stay in place.
