A game like Hollow Knight: Silksong won't immediately have the entire map accessible from the get-go. Instead, players must first explore the land to unlock various mobility skills. Some are a massive improvement to convenience, like the Dash skill in Silksong, while others, like the wall jump, are crucial to reach inaccessible spots. How To Get Needolin Skill In Silksong (Ancestral Art)
To get the Needolin skill in Silksong, you must find and beat Widow in Bellhart. To do so, first, you need to unlock the wall jump skill (Cling Grip) in HK Silksong.
After getting the Cling Grip ability, return to the bench in Shellwood and find an entry to Bellhart. You can do so by following these steps:
- Use the elevator by the bench to go up, or wall jump to the top of the bench room.
- Go right until there's a dead end.
- Ascend the platforms, then wall jump to the right.
- Continue right to enter Bellhart.
Then, keep descending inside Bellhart until you reach a room with a bell icon. There, you'll meet Widow, a boss in Silksong.
Getting Needolin ability is mandatory if players wish to progress to Act 2. Therefore, make sure to break the Bellhart curse and beat Widow before proceeding with the exploration.
How To Use Needolin Skill In Silksong
After beating Widow in Silksong, Hornet can now use the Needolin ability, which, by default, uses the D button (PC), Triangle (PS), or Y (Xbox). Hold the button, and Hornet will begin playing a song. This song will consume Silk, so keep that in mind if you plan to use it.
The Needolin song can be used for various things, like opening some circular gates on the map, or only for fun, summoning Bell Beast at the Bellway, and unlocking special interactions with certain NPCs. You may have come across these locked gates in early areas such as the Moss Grotto (Bone Bottom) or Far Fields in Silksong. Play the tune right by these gates to open them. The two rooms in Moss Grotto and Far Fields are called Weavenest Atla and Weavenest Cindril, respectively. Inside Weavenest Atla, players may even find a strange figure that can help enhance Hornet's ability.
