Simple Key & Door Locations In Silksong

A simple key is an item that unlocks simple locks in Hollow Knight: Silksong. Players first encounter it in Bone Bottom at the beginning of the game. The key can only be used once, which might confuse some players as they will stumble upon a lot of locked doors while exploring Pharloom. All Simple Key Locations In Silksong

Simple Key Location #1

The first simple key is located in Bone Bottom. Approach Pebb the merchant and buy the key for 500 Rosaries. You might need to farm some or complete wishes in HK Silksong to get it.

Simple Key Location #2

The second simple key is found in the top northeastern corner of Sinner's Road. After acquiring the double jump or clawline, cling to the walls and climb to the top. Hit the lever to access the top floor. Hornet will be ambushed by a big enemy, and she needs to defeat it to get the simple key.

Simple Key Location #3

To get another simple key, head to the Sands of Karak. Explore the area by hitting the branch and quickly proceeding before the path disappears. Once you are far east, keep going in the same direction to eventually reach a bench with a body on it. Grab the simple key from the dead bug.

Simple Key Location #4

Players must complete The Wandering Merchant quest in Silksong to get the final simple key. Find Jubilana and then return to the First Shrine to unlock her as a merchant. After collecting 650 Rosaries, buy the Simple Key.

Where To Use Simple Keys In Silksong (Simple Lock Locations)

Deep Docks Simple Lock Location

From the Deep Docks Bellway, head right to the lower door. Attack the lever to go down deeper and enter the path below the Forge Daughter. At the end, there is a locked door that reveals a huge part of the Deep Docks. It can be accessed from Far Fields later on, after acquiring certain abilities, so using the simple key allows you to get a head start with exploration.

Sinner's Road Simple Lock Location

In the vertical room right next to the bench where Shakra is singing in Sinner's Road, players can find the Green Prince imprisoned in a cage. Climb a few cages, then glide down the left to access the simple lock. Although the NPC asks Hornet not to free him, it's required to trigger his quest.

Wormways Simple Lock Location

Upon accessing Wormways, keep going left while avoiding the falling worms until a door eventually appears. Players can explore more parts of the area and complete the Alchemist’s Assistant quest, as well as unlock the Sharpdart skill. The latter is hidden behind a Needolin door that can only be reached by using the Clawline and double jump abilities. You can also keep gliding down to arrive at Moss Grotto and unlock the Wanderer Crest.

High Halls Simple Lock Location

The door in High Halls is easily accessed from the station location. Unlock the door and head inside to find an obstacle blocking the path leading up.

Destroy and navigate the tunnels while avoiding the deadly wheels until you reach the end, where there are two paths available. Head down first to get the Rosary Cannon, then go up to collect a lot of Rosaries and open a chest containing the Pale Rosary Necklace.
