To get the Pinmaster's Oil quest in Silksong, players must first break the curse in Bellhart by defeating Widow. Next, return to the town to see it bustling with life. Climb some ladders to reach the upper part of the city to find Pinmaster in one of the houses.
Speak to him and improve Hornet's Needle. After a short conversation, the Pinmaster will say that they can further enhance the weapon, but only if Hornet manages to obtain Pale Oil.
Where To Find Pale Oil In Silksong
There's more than one Pale Oil available in Silksong. Players can get one by:
- Completing the Great Taste of Pharloom quest in Silksong.
- Entering a secret room in the Choral Chambers.
- Completing the Ectasy of the End quest in Act 3.
The secret Choral Chambers room can only be accessed through the Whispering Vaults. After reaching the Whispering Vaults area, keep going right, then go south in the large vertical room. Next, find a way to the room on the west, where it's filled with boxes. Solve the Whispering Vaults box puzzle to gain access to the room in the Choral Chambers.

How To Reach Whispering Vaults In Silksong
To reach the Whispering Vaults in Silksong, enter from the Cogwork Core, the same place players will get The Architect's Melody in Silksong.
Follow the same steps inside until there's a route to the right. Go into the hidden room and keep heading right until there's a lever. Hit the lever to change the orientation of the rotating wheel bridge, then cross it to arrive at the Whispering Vaults.
Before trying to find the puzzle room, make sure to first obtain the Whispering Vaults map in Silksong.
Whispering Vaults Box Puzzle In Silksong
Follow these steps to solve the Whispering Vaults crate puzzle and open the room to get the Pale Oil in Silksong: First, go to the end of the room, then hit the box to make it slide left.
Next, climb up and move the box above to the right.
Head back to the ground, then hit a crate there to the right.
From the crate that just moved, use it to jump up while clinging to the sides.
Hit the crate in the middle to go up.
Moving the boxes will open the route to go up.
Once above, run left and hit a box to the left.
Follow the box, then hit downward on the box next to it to move a set of crates down.
Descend down the open path, then hit another set of crates. This time to the left.
Go under the same set of boxes, then hit it up.
Now, you should open a route to a secret room. Hit the lever, then enter the area to claim the Pale Oil for the Pinmaster's Oil quest in Silksong.
Pinmaster Plinney Location In Act 3 In Silksong
In Act 3, players who try to meet the Pinmaster will see a sign that says, I have departed to pay my respects at the graves within the great wood.
The Pinmaster's bellhome will be closed until players fetch him from Shellwood. South of the Shellwood Bellway, there's one area with a symbol on it. The Pinmaster is paying his respects there at the graves. Head to the spot, then fight the enemies to bring back the Pinmaster to Bellhart.
