There are many things to do and items to collect in Hollow Knight: Silksong. Many of these items are spread across the large areas of Pharloom. Some are always available for players to access, while others are hidden, waiting to reward players' curiosity when they find them. Additionally, there are still some tasks and quests to obtain specific items, such as the Garb of the Pilgrims quest in Silksong.
What to Do First in Silksong
At the start of the game, prioritize these things to do first in Silksong to meet important NPCs and unlock useful items and abilities.
Garb Of The Pilgrims Quest Guide In Silksong
After beating the Bell Beast in Silksong, you can head back to the Bone Bottom safe area and interact with the Wishwall to find four new quests.
One of these missions is the Garb of the Pilgrims quest in HK Silksong, where you have to collect 12 Pilgrim Shawls. It’s an item that drops from Pilgrim enemies after they fall. Those types of enemies are all over the map, so you can complete the quest naturally while progressing Silksong’s main story quest, or farm Pilgrim Shawls to get the reward early in Silksong.
After collecting all 12 Pilgrim Shawls, return to the Wishwall and turn in the Pilgrim Shawls to complete the Garb of the Pilgrims quest in Silksong, and get the Rosary Necklace reward. It’s an item that can be broken to obtain a large quantity of Rosaries, 120 Rosaries to be exact.
Best Pilgrim Shawl Locations In Silksong
To collect the 12 Pilgrim Shawls in Silksong, head to Mosshome, since most of its enemies are Pilgrim enemies. There’s a bench right next to Mosshome’s entrance, which helps you reload the area quickly. That’s one of the main reasons why Mosshome is one of the best places on Silksong’s map to farm Pilgrim Shawls alongside some Rosaries.
These Pilgrim enemies are different from the regular bugs you encounter in the game; they’re aggressive and can overwhelm you if you don’t handle them carefully. The melee ones tend to jump around, applying pressure, while the ranged ones shoot from a distance and step back. After gaining more skills and tools, like the Drifter's Cloak, which you get after completing the Flexile Spines quest in Silksong, fighting these enemies becomes much easier.
