All 6 Psalm Cylinder Locations in Silksong

In Hollow Knight: Silksong, players may stumble upon an item called a Psalm Cylinder during their playthrough. For those unaware, there are six of these items in total, and they can be given to Vaultkeeper Cardinius, an NPC in the Whispering Vaults.

Since Psalm Cylinders are all found scattered throughout Pharloom, finding all of them without guidance is a tall order, especially since so many of them are hidden in out-of-the-way secret spots that are easy to miss.

There are six Psalm Cylinders in total to be found in Silksong. One of them is called the Sacred Cylinder, and is the only one out of the six that is required to progress the game’s main story. Giving the Sacred Cylinder to Vaultkeeper Cardinius will complete the Vaultkeeper’s Melody quest.

Cardinius will give you 200 Rosaries in exchange for every additional Psalm Cylinder you bring him, making it 1,000 Rosaries in total that you can acquire by collecting all Psalm Cylinders.

Psalm Cylinder #1 Location (Sacred Cylinder)

Location: Whispering Vaults

After you fight Trobbio, head right to unlock an elevator that takes you into a previously inaccessible section of the Underworks. Turn right and navigate through the relatively straightforward platforming section, and you’ll eventually unlock a path back to the Whispering Vaults. Activate the bench to the right and turn left. You’ll find the Sacred Cylinder next to a dead Vaultkeeper.

Psalm Cylinder #2 Location

Location: Whispering Vaults

From Vaultkeeper Cardinius’s location, turn right and go all the way to the edge of the room until you see a wall you can climb. Use Cling Grip (Wall Jump) to reach the top, and you’ll find a Psalm Cylinder on the ledge on the top right corner of the room.

Psalm Cylinder #3 Location

Location: Whispering Vaults

Start at the location marked above and navigate through the maze to reach the very bottom of the room. Here, attack the wooden box in the bottom left corner of the room so that it moves right. Then climb on top of it and hit the box above it so that it goes all the way to the top. Wall Climb up to the box that is now at the top of the room and climb on top of it. Jump right and you’ll find a secret tunnel that leads to an air current you can unlock.

Riding the air current using Drifter's Cloak leads you to the very top of the Whispering Vaults area. Here, head left, and you’ll find the room with another Psalm Cylinder inside it. Attack the lever next to the door to head back to the main section.

Psalm Cylinder #4 Location

Location: Blasted Steps

The thief Grindle sells a Psalm Cylinder for 240 Rosaries in the Blasted Steps. To reach his shop, you’ll need to first unlock the Faydown Cloak (Double Jump). Once you have this ability, head to the location marked on the map, and you’ll be able to reach Grindle.

Psalm Cylinder #5 Location

Location: Underworks

After obtaining the Surgeon Key from Whiteworks, you will be able to access the Unravelled boss fight. After defeating him, a pathway will open up to the right, leading down to the Underworks. Immediately after dropping down the first shaft, turn left, and you’ll notice a breakable wooden wall. Break the wall to find the fifth Psalm Cylinder.

Psalm Cylinder #6 Location

Location: High Halls

After entering the High Halls, head to the location marked above. Here, you’ll be able to see a pilgrim’s corpse with the Psalm Cylinder. To reach it, drop down from the ledge next to the entrance into the water, go left, and then climb up using Cling Grip to reach the access point from the left.
