Where to Find the Blasted Steps Map in Hollow Knight…

After defeating the Widow in Bellhart, you’ll step foot into the next area in Hollow Knight: Silksong, Blasted Steps. The Blasted Steps serve as the closing area of Act 1, unless you manage to find an alternate path through Sinner’s Road.

This hostile desert region swaps lava for ravenous sand worms, which will devour you instantly if you slip into the dunes. To make matters worse, fierce gusts of wind turn basic jumps into nerve-wracking challenges, forcing you to time your moves carefully. If you’re struggling in this dangerous biome, it’s a good idea to find the Blasted Steps Map early in Hollow Knight: Silksong.

Where to Find the Blasted Steps Map in Hollow Knight Silksong

Like most other maps in the game, the map for the Blasted Steps is purchased from the cartographer Shakra. Shakra can be found in the right portion of the Blasted Steps. The Blasted Steps is a highly vertical area with thick sandstorms and heavy winds. It's a challenging location that requires a specific ability to traverse.

Coming from Shellwood, you’ll be starting your trek at a bench. From here, head left across a series of small platforms. Keep walking left until you reach a tunnel that slopes upward. Use your Cling Grip ability (which you’ll find in Shellwood) to scale the walls. Carefully wall climb to the top of this shaft and move right.

Climb upward and walk left till you come across another bench. From here, continue moving left till you enter Blasted Steps. Now, be mindful of the heavy wind gusts that can slow you mid-jump and push you toward the sand below, where the worms are eagerly waiting for their next meal.

From here, continue right, handling the series of jumps and wind currents until you face a flying enemy with a red drill-like head. Follow the path a little further, and you’ll find Shakra waiting in a small cave. Speak to them, and you can purchase the Blasted Steps Map for 70 Rosaries.

Besides the winds and worms, the Blasted Steps pit you against Great Conchflies and even the Last Judge, the final boss of the first act. Picking up the Needle Strike charged attack from the Pinstress first can make these fights much easier.
