Updates to Hollow Knight: Silksong since its release have mostly centered around bug fixes and rebalancing, but composer and sound designer Christoper Larkin's recent comments could possibly point to some more substantial content coming from Team Cherry.

Released on September 4, Hollow Knight: Silksong became an instant hit among fans who had been waiting for the follow-up to its predecessor since 2017. Its launch was massive, as a flood of players rushing to dive into the sequel caused Hollow Knight: Silksong to crash Steam, the Xbox Store, and the Nintendo eShop. It has also left a positive impression, as it holds a 91 percent approval rating on Steam and an astonishing 100 percent player rating on OpenCritic.

With more than two months having passed since its launch, Larkins has now confirmed that he is still actively working with Team Cherry, the game's developer and publisher. In a recently published interview with Bandcamp Daily about his contributions to Hollow Knight: Silksong, he was asked about his current projects. Larkin is the composer for Moonlighter 2's score, and his answer reflected that game as his primary focus at the moment, but his response also included that he is "still doing some stuff for Team Cherry." While he didn't mention Hollow Knight:Silksong by name, his work on the company's biggest hit coupled with the main topic of the interview points to addition sound design work coming to the game in the future.

Larkin's comments aren't particularly detailed in regard to the game's ongoing development work, but they could point to additional changes down the line. While a lot of the alterations to the game so far have been focused on tweaking bosses, there have been some extra features added to Hollow Knight: Silksong since launch, including an update from early November that improved overall controller support, including the addition of rumble features, and provided more localization support across multiple languages.

As also brought up during the interview, Larkin admits that he has been "pretty non-perfectionist" when it comes to fine-tuning sound design, despite having won multiple awards from the South Australian Screen Awards and South Australian Sound guild for his work. While it's possible that his ongoing work with Team Cherry is based on touch-up support, he also noted he and his team put a lot of thought into coming up with unique sounds for each of Hollow Knight: Silksong's enemies, attacks, and more, which could also point towards more original foes for Hornet to face.
