There are 65 tools in Hollow Knight: Silksong, although three of these are actually upgraded versions of other tools. Additionally, players will only be able to get one version of the Silkshot during each playthrough, and the Shell Satchel replaces the Dead Bug's Purse in Steel Soul Mode, meaning that players can have a maximum of 59 tools at any given time.

Just as one might expect, all three Hollow Knight: Silksong tool upgrades offer a significant bonus over their regular counterparts, and so it definitely pays to seek them out. Two of them are only available in the final act of Silksong, but they're well worth the wait, as the Curvesickle is one of the best red tools in the game, and the Claw Mirrors aren't half bad either.

How to Get the Druid's Eyes in Hollow Knight: Silksong

Players can upgrade the Druid's Eye to the Druid's Eyes by giving the Moss Druid four additional Mossberries after completing the Berry Picking Wish. Including the three that are needed for the Wish, players can find six Mossberries scattered throughout the Moss Grotto area, with the seventh and final Mossberry hidden away in the lower part of Memorium. The earliest that players will be able to unlock the Druid's Eyes is during Act 2, as this is the first chance they'll get to visit Memorium.

How to Get the Curvesickle in Hollow Knight: Silksong

Players can upgrade the Curveclaw to the Curvesickle during Act 3 of Hollow Knight: Silksong. To do so, they'll need to make their way to Far Fields and head to the area beneath the Pilgrim's Rest bench, where they'll find four targets hanging from the ceiling. If they hit all four targets with a single Curveclaw throw, a Skarr Scout will appear and ask them to hand over the Curveclaw. After handing it over, they should go and rest at a bench and then return to the room with the targets to find the fully upgraded Curvesickle.

How to Get the Claw Mirrors in Hollow Knight: Silksong

Players can upgrade the Claw Mirror to the Claw Mirrors during Act 3 of Hollow Knight: Silksong. To do so, they'll need to have defeated Trobbio in Act 2 and then accepted the Pain, Anguish, and Misery Wish from the Wishboard in Songclave. After doing so, they can return to the Citadel's stage and beat Trobbio a second time, which will reward them with the Dark Mirror. This pairs with the Claw Mirror that they got from Trobbio earlier to become the Claw Mirrors.
