There are 65 tools in Hollow Knight: Silksong, though finding them all in a single playthrough can be incredibly tricky. Those hoping to do so will need to explore the world of Pharloom pretty thoroughly, completing side quests and interacting with NPCs along the way
All Hollow Knight Silksong Crests (List and Locations)
There are seven crests in Hollow Knight: Silksong and two special Vesticrests. Here's where to find them all and which crests are the best.
Hollow Knight: Silksong tools are broken up into four different types: white, red, blue, and yellow. Most white and red tools provide active skills that are used to attack enemies, with the latter using consumables and the former requiring Silk. Blue and yellow tools tend to offer passive boosts.
Updated December 23, 2025: With a free DLC expansion recently announced for next year and the base game currently on sale on numerous digital storefronts, there's arguably never been a better time to dive into the world of Pharloom. Those who decide to do so will definitely want to make a point of finding all of the Silksong tools, as doing so provides players with a ridiculous amount of options when it comes to combat and exploration-focused builds. This guide includes all of the tools' locations, as well as information on how they work. To find the latter, readers need only click on or hover their mouse cursor over the name of each tool in the leftmost column. It should probably go without saying, but we'll be sure to update this guide to include any new Silksong tools that are added in the Sea of Sorrow DLC expansion.
