Void Mass Locations In Silksong (Dark Hearts Quest)

The Dark Hearts is one of the quests players can complete during Act 3 in Hollow Knight: Silksong. It's one of the Hunt-type wishes where Hornet must explore Pharloom to find several required items. In this case, players must remove some Void Masses to finish the quest.

How To Trigger Dark Hearts Quest In Silksong

To trigger the Dark Hearts quest in Silksong, you must advance to Act 3 and grab the wish from the Bellhart Wish Board. The citizens are afraid of the Void Masses scattered across the areas and wish for someone to remove them permanently. Completing the Dark Hearts quest requires destroying 12 Void Masses, and Hornet is rewarded with a Mask Fragment for her effort.

There are more than 40 Void Masses players can find while exploring Pharloom. Thankfully, you only need to remove 12 of them to complete the Dark Hearts quest in Silksong. Here are the locations of some Void Masses that can be found close to Bellhart, but keep in mind, you can find many more in other areas.

Void Mass Location #1

From Bellhart, head right and use the elevator to go up. Run left and climb the ledges to reach Shellwood and find a Void Mass under a platform.

Void Mass Location #2

Keep going left and glide down under the cliff to find another Void Mass.

Void Mass Location #3

Stay on the lower ground and proceed left into a big area. At the top, next to a room's entrance, Hornet can find a Void Mass stuck to the side of the wall.

Void Mass Location #4

Turn left and go through the lower door, then keep going until you are close to the bench near Bone Bottom. In this horizontal room, a Void Mass is stuck on the ceiling.

Void Mass Location #5

Head to The Marrow from Shellwood or use the Needle to summon the baby Bell Beasts to return to the Bellway and teleport there. Next, go left from the Bellway and head down to find another Void Mass to the right, tucked in a corner under a platform.

Void Mass Location #6

Proceed to the right and glide down to the bottom of the vertical room, then go lower to see a Void Mass in the upper left corner. Use the platforms to reach it and remove it.

Void Mass Location #7

Climb to the top of the vertical room and head right to destroy the next Void Mass located on the roof near a red bulb.

Void Mass Location #8

Go right and fly down past a bench, rest if necessary, and continue to the right, where a Void Mass is located on the upper part of the area.

Void Mass Location #9

Proceed right into Deep Docks to find the rest of the locations in Silksong. Keep going in the same direction, then climb up the second vertical room to find a Void Mass at the end.

Void Mass Location #10

Head higher and turn left to see a Void Mass stuck to the side of one of the platforms near the lava. Try plunge attacks to remove the Mass easily after defeating the enemies.

If players wish, they can go up into Hunter's March, and they will quickly find a Void Mass on the roof over two enemies. If you don't want to make a detour into this area, you can skip it, as there are a lot of Void Masses elsewhere.

Void Mass Location #11

Return to Deep Docks and proceed right into Far Fields. Go higher and head right to the next area, where the Void Mass is stuck to the top, surrounded by enemies.
