New leaks from Honkai: Nexus Anima are teasing the future addition of one of Honkai: Star Rail's most popular characters, hinting at Kafka joining the roster. The newest spinoff to the Honkai universe has been a source of plenty of excitement for fans of HoYoverse, with the Genshin Impact developer officially revealing Honkai: Nexus Anima earlier this year. Nexus Anima looks to take inspiration from franchises like Pokemon, combining both new and old characters with their own signature creatures in Teamfight Tactics-esque battles. Now, a popular character may be joining Honkai: Nexus Anima's roster.
HoYoverse officially shared more details about Honkai: Nexus Anima earlier this week, showing off some of the first snippets of gameplay. Honkai: Nexus Anima will combine open-world exploration, similar to past games like Genshin Impact and Honkai: Star Rail, with a battle system styled after "auto-chess" games like Teamfight Tactics. The developer also revealed the first beta test for its newest game, with applications open for an iOS beta test of Honkai: Nexus Anima through September 12. A new leak is now hinting at one particularly notable future character.

Kafka is said to be the "11th Sovereign" within the universe of Honkai: Nexus Anima, teasing her as having vanished after an event referred to as "The Sundering." The leak did not give any details about when Kafka would appear, including whether she would debut with the full launch or during a beta test.

Kafka's rumored addition to Honkai: Nexus Anima would not come as a big surprise for the Honkai crossover game, given previous information about the game. Honkai: Nexus Anima's initial reveal confirmed characters from across multiple Honkai games would appear in Nexus Anima, teasing Star Rail's Blade and Honkai Impact 3rd's Kiana. The game's "4th Sovereign" character, Kumyo Kyo, also bears a striking resemblance to Genshin Impact's Aether, both in his appearance and lore. HoYoverse has not confirmed when Honkai: Nexus Anima's first beta test will launch.
HoYoverse's big Honkai: Nexus Anima reveal joins a plethora of exciting content across its many popular games. Genshin Impact is gearing up for its biggest update of the year in just a couple of weeks, with the Version 6.0 update set to introduce the game's next major region of Nod-Krai in early September. Honkai: Star Rail will also welcome a new update during September, bringing a particularly exciting character with Evernight as a new variant of March 7th.
