Over the last year and a half, Honkai: Star Rail's Simulated Universe has undergone several iterations. It started with the standard dungeon, where players can farm Planar Ornament sets, and has since transformed into various modes, such as Swarm Disaster and Unknowable Domain. In Honkai: Star Rail Version 2.3, Divergent Universe, Screwllum's standalone Simulated Universe project, was launched.
The Divergent Universe is similar to the Simulated Universe in the sense that it's also a dungeon crawler of sorts that gives players an opportunity to farm Planar Ornaments. The difference is that Screwllum updated stages with new Blessings, Occurrences, and Curios, and introduced Equations to help clear Ordinary Extrapolation and Cyclical Extrapolation levels. Its first iteration, named "The Human Comedy," is supposedly ending in Honkai: Star Rail Version 3.0, and there are already rumors about the next update.
Honkai: Star Rail's Amphoreus Leaks Are Bittersweet News for Another Leaked Character
Honkai: Star Rail's lineup of playable Amphoreus characters is exciting, but one leaked character may take the backseat a bit longer.
Honkai: Star Rail's Next Divergent Universe Update May Be a Great Addition to the Current Amphoreus Arc
Recently, rumors came out that Honkai: Star Rail will release a new Divergent Universe update in Version 3.1, which will be allegedly titled, "Hero of a Thousand Faces." A series of leaked screenshots from KazusaLeaks showed a refreshed UI for the game mode, which switches the old gold theme to blue, probably to match Amphoreus' color scheme. A new feature called "Insight Mode" was also shown, which could play a significant role in Extrapolation runs.

In addition, prominent Honkai: Star Rail leaker HomDGCat previously revealed that the new Divergent Universe update will allegedly remove Preservation and Abundance Paths, and will introduce the Harmony Path, which is said to be focused on "break-centered effects." If the information is reliable, this will be the first time that Harmony will become a playable Path in the Simulated Universe and Divergent Universe, so it will be interesting to see its Blessings' effects on characters and the combinations that players could come up with during their explorations. Meanwhile, Remembrance, Destruction, and Elation will reportedly have different effects in this update.
|
Harmony |

|---|---|
|
Remembrance |
Changed from freeze effects to general buffs to characters and their memosprites |
|
Destruction |
Changed from break-centered effects to focus on HP loss, shields, and being hit in battle |
|
Elation |
New effects will be added to give characters additional damage |
Overall, the rumored Divergent Universe update and its features are still shrouded in mystery. What is likely based on previous updates is it might introduce new Planar Ornaments in Honkai: Star Rail Version 3.1 that new and old characters can use. Plus, with Trailblazer essentially stuck in Amphoreus until the end of their adventure there, it would only make sense that the Divergent Universe would be accessible somewhere on the map in order to bring a new perspective to the mysterious land. This could also be a good opportunity for fans to play around with Trailblazer's newfound time-rewind powers courtesy of Oronyx's Prayer to explore the new Divergent Universe maps.
Apart from the rumored Divergent Universe update, Honkai: Star Rail Version 3.1 also signals the debut of 5-star banner characters Tribbie and Mydei, as well as continues Trailblazer's adventure in Amphoreus with more events and challenges. This arc will last until Version 3.7, or about eight months, making it Honkai: Star Rail's longest main story mission to date. So, it's only right that HoYoverse makes sure that avid players will have an immersive experience all throughout to not only explore the lore, but also give them a chance to grind for upgrade materials and items to strengthen their character roster.
