Honkai: Star Rail has revealed the new five-star character Topaz. Following in the footsteps of other HoYoverse games, Honkai: Star Rail has spared no resources in creating a diverse cast. These characters bring skills that can shake up the Honkai: Star Rail meta.

The most recent major Honkai: Star Rail update introduced the four-star character Luka, and the five-star duo Kafka and Blade. But while Version 1.2 was released just under a month ago, Honkai: Star Rail is getting ready for more. This week HoYoverse will be holding a new Honkai: Star Rail Special Program to talk about the game's next major update, which according to leaks will introduce a new area, events, and more.

In the meantime, Honkai: Star Rail has revealed Topaz, a new five-star character who serves as Senior Manager of the Strategic Investment Department at the Interastral Peace Corporation. Leader of the Special Debts Picket Team, Topaz is a Fire character from The Hunt Path who deals with the organization's finances and traverses the cosmos collecting debts that negatively influence IPC's business ventures. To help with her work, Topaz has the help of her companion Numby, a Warp Trotter who can "see where the riches are." Numby can also do security work, debt collection, and actuarial science. A Honkai: Star Rail leak revealed Topaz and Numby last month, but Topaz's companion had a different name than the official one.

Players celebrated the announcement of Topaz, which came a day after Honkai: Star Rail revealed Jingliu, one of the game's most anticipated characters. Topaz's reveal also confirmed that her voice actress will be Slam Slade, known for her work on the games Brawl Stars, Punishing: Gray Raven, and Epic Seven, and for being the voice of the NPC Jiangli in Genshin Impact. Although Topaz is a new playable character, some players have noticed something interesting about her. Topaz is already present in Honkai: Star Rail as the character featured in the four-star light cone Trend of the Universal Market.

Like Jingliu, Topaz doesn't have a confirmed release date in Honkai: Star Rail. However, rumors suggest that both characters will be released with Version 1.4 of the game. Speculation about Version 1.4 also teases that the trio of characters in the update will include the four-star Xueyi. Players previously saw the Xueyi at the Xianzhou Luofu events in Honkai: Star Rail Version 1.2 featuring the four-star character Dan Heng, Luocha, and Sushang.
