One important detail about building Black Swan is maximizing her A6 Trace’s effects by building her with more than 120% plus Effect Hit Rate in Honkai: Star Rail. It’s almost unavoidable to not place Effect Hit Rate on her Body Relic’s main stat unless her Light Cone can offer her enough to neglect the Effect Hit Rate and go straight to ATK%, which yields more damage for Black Swan.

7 Fermata

Increases Break Effect dealt by the wearer by 32%, and increases their DMG to enemies afflicted with Shock or Wind Shear by 32%. This also applies to DoT.

As a last option, when no other option is available, Black Swan can somewhat benefit from Fermata. The extra Shock or Wind Shear DMG can always come in handy for Black Swan’s utility during combat. However, it’s better not to invest in Fermata unless there aren’t any other options available for her.

6 Before the Tutorial Mission Starts

Increases the wearer's Effect Hit Rate by 40%. When the wearer attacks enemies that have reduced DEF, regenerates 8 Energy.

Since Black Swan can reduce enemies’ DEF with her Skill, she can fully utilize the Before the Tutorial Mission Starts effect. The Light Cone regenerates Black Swan’s Energy on the condition of hitting an enemy with a reduced DEF debuff. Additionally, at S5, the 40% extra Effect Hit Rate is really important to Black Swan since her A6 Trace grants her up to 72% DMG, which scales with her Effect Hit Rate.

5 Resolution Shines As Pearls of Sweat

Decreasing enemies’ DEF is always nice to have for any DPS unit in Honkai: Star Rail. As a Nihility who focuses on DoT DMG, Black Swan can definitely benefit from Resolution Shines As Pearls of Sweat effect. The Light Cone debuffs opponents by decreasing their DEF by up to 16% at S5.

4 Solitary Healing

Increases the wearer's Break Effect by 40%. When the wearer unleashes their Ultimate, increases DoT dealt by the wearer by 48% for 2 turns. When the target suffering from the wearer's DoT is defeated, regenerates 6 Energy.

While Black Swan doesn’t get anything from Solitary Healing’s Break Effect stat, she can still benefit from the Light Cone’s extra DoT DMG and Energy Regeneration. Additionally, as a 5-star piece of equipment, Solitary Healing also offers Black Swan more stats than her other 4-star options. Considering it's a F2P weapon and can be obtained from the Simulated Universe, it's an easy go-to for Black Swan Light Cone in Honkai: Star Rail.

3 Good Night and Sleep Well

Since it’s easy for Black Swan to debuff enemies, without even playing at times, Good Night and Sleep Well falls into one of her best Light Cones in Honkai: Star Rail. One of the reasons is, that at S5, the weapon grants Black Swan 24% extra damage up to 3 times, which ends up stacking to a whopping 72%.

Increases the wearer’s Effect Hit Rate by 40%. When the wearer deals DMG to an enemy inflicted with Wind Shear, Burn, Shock or Bleed, they will individually gain 1 stack of Prophet. This effect can stack up to 4 times. In a single battle, each type of DoT can only generate 1 stack of Prophet. Every stack of Prophet increases the wearer’s ATK by 5% and the DoT they deal will ignore 7.2% of the target’s DEF.

Reforged Remembrance massively increases Black Swan’s Effect Hit Rate by 40%, which helps players be more comfortable building her with more ATK. Not only that, but the Light Cone grants Black Swan the ability to further ignore enemies’ DEF for each stack of her Prophet stacks.
