Castorice is a Quantum DPS character in Honkai: Star Rail who boosts her own damage—and that of her Memosprite—by sacrificing her allies' HP. This mechanic makes her highly effective at dealing Quantum damage, but it requires careful management of team resources to avoid compromising survivability. Her damage scales with HP, which allows her to effectively utilize Poet of Mourning Collapse and Bone Collection's Serene Demesne to further enhance her and her Memosprite's damage output. This comes at the cost of having high SPD, which, fortunately, is not an issue for her playstyle.

As a result, she cannot effectively use most of Aglaea's top light cone choices, despite belonging to the same role and path. 4 Victory in a Blink

While Victory In a Blink's effects may not fully align with Castorice's HP-scaling mechanics, it can still act as a serviceable placeholder for players lacking stronger light cone alternatives. Its Crit DMG boost provides some value for increasing her overall damage, but the lack of synergy with her unique playstyle limits its effectiveness compared to more tailored options. Furthermore, Castorice won't be able to benefit from the second part of it's passive, since her memosprite doesn't target allies.

Victory In a Blink remains one of the few entirely F2P light cones available to Remembrance characters as of now, and that makes it essentially the best entirely F2P light cone to consider. However, players should be aware that this light cone will not outperform high base HP 5-star stat stick options, and is better suited for characters like Remembrance MC, who is one of the best team members for Castorice as well.

Though not ideal, such options remain viable placeholders.

Among these choices, 5-star light cones with high base HP are the best options, as they provide a significant boost to her performance even without synergy. Some of these can be obtained through the standard pool, offering accessible alternatives for players. As of now, Mydei's signature light cone boasts the highest base HP, making it a top consideration for Castorice. Other light Ccnes with similar base HP values to Castorice's own signature will also work well. Here are all options as follows:

Despite being locked behind the Battle Pass and therefore inaccessible to F2P players, Sweat Now, Cry Less proves to be a solid option for Castorice. It provides Crit Rate and DMG buffs for both her and her memosprite, which align with her DPS role and enhance her damage-dealing capabilities. While it doesn’t provide any HP passive, it's base HP is also quite decent, which makes it the best 4-star light cone choice for Castorice for players who purchase Battle Pass.

However, it’s worth noting that due to Castorice’s ascension bonuses and optimal relic setups naturally providing Crit Rate, players using this light cone may find themselves capping on this stat fairly easily. This opens up opportunities to exclusively focus on HP and Crit DMG through relic sub-stats, but compared to her signature, will still fall behind on the DMG potential.
