Castorice is a tough character to build a team around in Honkai: Star Rail. Her unique kit demands that she be paired with high health units, and shields have basically zero synergy with her. Still, players of all levels should be able to make a decent Castorice team once they get some good characters together.
While it's true that having the best support characters in HSR will give Castorice the extra juice she needs to succeed, players can still take on endgame content with her using some of the more accessible members of the game's roster. Here are a couple of teams and alternate picks to help you make a good HSR Castorice team.

Honkai: Star Rail - Premium Meta Castorice Team
- Castorice + Remembrance MC + Tribbie + Luocha
This setup is one of the best teams for Castorice so far. It supercharges her damage output by providing her with CRIT stats, True DMG, and All-RES PEN. Not only that, but it also accelerates her Ultimate's recharge rate — for those who aren't familiar, Castorice's Ultimate only charges when allies lose (or gain) HP, and the more HP they lose, the more ult charge Castorice gets.
Since Tribbie is typically built with max HP and Mem counts as another ally to leech health off of, this team will be able to charge Castorice's faster than others. Luocha is the preferred healer here because he has excellent emergency heals. He'll keep your team topped off even while Castorice is constantly draining everyone's health.
Alternate/Budget-Friendly Picks
- Ruan Mei: If you don't have Tribbie, Ruan Mei is a decent alternative. She'll give your team All-RES PEN and bonus DMG, and her SPD buff won't break Poet of Mourning Collapse's 4pc bonus
- Bronya: Since Castorice relies on the Poet Relic set to get CRIT Rate, players will want to use her with low SPD. This is where Bronya comes in — the Action Advance effect of her skill is perfect for low SPD characters, and her DMG and CRIT DMG buffs are always useful for CRIT-based characters.
- Pela: Shredding enemy DEF is always going to be useful for a DPS character, and if you have neither of the previous Harmony characters, Pela will do just fine.
- Lingsha: Another AOE healer who can keep everyone in the team alive, like Luocha. The Break DMG debuff she inflicts isn't as strong as Ruan Mei or Tribbie's buffs, but it's useful nonetheless, especially when paired with Ruan Mei and an E6 Castorice.
- Gallagher: As the go-to healer for many players, Gallagher can easily keep Castorice and her team alive with his Ultimate, though it can be hard to take advantage of the Besotted state's healing if players mis-time their ult.
Castorice Double DPS Team
- Castorice + Mydei + Remembrance MC + Luocha
This team works much like the one above, except it foregoes one support character in favor of Mydei. The Crown Prince of Kremnos synergizes beautifully with Castorice, as every time he loses health, he becomes empowered thanks to his Talent. This means he'll constantly be feeding ult charge to Castorice, and Castorice will be constantly feeding his Vendetta state.
Castorice won't deal as much damage as she would with a Harmony or Nihility unit, but with RMC in the team, she'll still get those sweet True DMG and crit buffs. As for your healer, if you don't have Luocha, the alternate picks listed above will do just fine as well.
