Although it looks like players are fighting against General Feixiao in Honkai: Star Rail, they're actually just going against the Shadow of Feixiao, which manifests from Hoolay using the Crimson Moon. Even though it's just a reflection, it's still a powerful foe that shouldn't be underestimated, especially when the Shadow of Feixiao summons the Ecliptic Inner Beast and becomes significantly tougher.
When the Feixiao boss fight was released in version 2.5, the current meta focused on Weakness Break, so it's no surprise that beating this Echo of War boss requires depleting the enemy's Toughness. Here's everything players need to know about how to beat Feixiao in HSR, and some tips about the fight.
Honkai Star Rail Redeem Codes
Stellar Jades is a crucial currency in Honkai: Star Rail as players need them to get new characters in the game.
How To Beat Shadow of Feixiao In HSR - Honkai: Star Rail
The key to beating Shadow of Feixiao in HSR is to break the enemy's Toughness, somewhat similar to how players can deal with the Doomsday Beast in Honkai: Star Rail. Phase 1 is easy since she's alone and all players need to do is deplete her HP, but it gets tricky in the next two phases when she summons the Ecliptic Inner Beast.
Phase 2
In Phase 2, Feixiao fights alongside the Ecliptic Inner Beast. The beast has three body parts, each with its own attacks and turn count. The three body parts are:
- Nebula Devourer (head)
- Planeshred Claws (claw)
- Worldpurge Tail (tail)
The normal attacks of these parts are not deadly, but when Feixiao uses Heaven's Binds, she resonates with two of the three body parts. They become enhanced and will deal larger damage. Resonance with the head and tail also grants a chance to apply the Outrage and Weaken debuff. Heaven's Binds is when she stabs her sword to the ground and causes a red prompt to appear on the screen.
|
Body Part |
Debuff |
Effect |
|---|---|---|
|
Nebula Devourer (head) |
Outrage |
Affected ally loses control, attacking random enemies automatically. |
|
Planeshred Claws (claw) |
No debuff |
Increases Feixiao's DMG. |
|
Worldpurge Tail (tail) |
Weaken |
Affected ally deals reduced DMG. |
To cancel the resonance effect, players must break the resonating body part's Toughness. There are three ways you can tell which body part is enhanced:
- The body part has a flaming blue aura around it.
- The part has the Resonate buff on the effects detail screen.
- The part is highlighted in red on the action order.
Players should prioritize depleting Toughness on the enhanced body parts to cancel the resonance effect.
Phase 3
Phase 3 is about the same as the second part, but there's a new deadly move that you must survive called Wreathed in Storm. When Feixiao casts this skill, you can't hit her anymore, and she restores Toughness to the Beast's body parts. In the next action, Shadow of Feixiao will use Sweep the Heavens, Swallow the Earth, which gets an enhanced DMG by the number of body parts that are not weakness broken. Afterward, the not-broken body part will also be enhanced for its next move.
It's crucial to ensure all body parts are weakness broken before Feixiao gets her action back. Otherwise, you may have a tough time surviving her ultimate hit.
