Best Hysilens Teams In HSR - Honkai: Star Rail
Hysilens is an amazing DoT enabler and DPS in HSR. There are a lot of characters that can join her team since all she needs is Kafka, and the rest can just be there to support the process. Here are some of the best Hysilens teams in Honkai: Star Rail, including Hysilens F2P teams in HSR:
- Hysilens + Kafka + Black Swan + Huohuo
- Hysilens + Kafka + Cipher + Hyacine
- Hysilens + Kafka + Asta + Gepard
Of course, you can also put other Harmony or Nihility characters like Robin, Ruan Mei, Tingyun, Tribbie, Guinaifen, Jiaoqiu, Luka, Pela, Sampo, and Silver Wolf.
Hysilens + Kafka + Black Swan + Huohuo
At one point, Kafka and Black Swan were one of the best pairs in HSR. However, the duo slowly fell from the meta, and the DoT gameplay fell with them. Hysilens not only revives them and their DoT gameplay, but she also makes them one of the best teams in Honkai: Star Rail.
Honkai: Star Rail – Best Support Characters, Ranked
Discover the top-ranked support characters in Honkai: Star Rail for optimal gameplay.
After Kafka’s buffs, she became a solid support because of her ability to increase her team’s ATK% greatly. She’s also a must-have in every DoT team because of her insane ability to detonate DoTs on almost every single one of her attacks. As for Black Swan, she’s an enabler who effortlessly keeps building DoT on all enemies while reducing their DEF%. Finally, Hysilens needs fast characters who attack more frequently to install her DoTs. Hysilens also shares similar mechanics with Kafka and Black Swan since she can produce DMG from all DoTs and shred enemies’ DEF when she uses her Ultimate.
On the other hand, the team still needs a sustain support character like Huohuo, who can both heal and buff the team. When using her Ultimate, Huohuo buffs the team’s ATK% while giving them energy. This will help with the team’s DMG and rotation. Of course, Huohuo barely attacks enemies, so you can replace her with sustain characters that attack a lot, like Hyacine and Aventurine.
Hysilens + Kafka + Cipher + Hyacine
Walking away from classic characters like Black Swan, you can build Hysilens with a more modern team by including Cipher and Hyacine. While Cipher doesn’t have DoT mechanics, she’s still a very powerful HSR Nihility character who increases the DMG enemies take just for existing in Hysilens' team in Honkai: Star Rail. Cipher also attacks a lot and records DMG, which results in delivering devastating blows when she casts her Ultimate.
Since the team is losing an obvious DoT character, it’s important to prioritize using support units that attack frequently over Huohuo. Hyacine will keep the team healed and will never stop attacking, which will continuously trigger Hysilens and Kafka’s passives and follow-up attacks.
There are a lot of characters that can take Cipher’s place, such as Sampo, Silver Wolf, Jiaoqiu, Ruan Mei, and Tribbie. Both Kafka and Hysilens do such a great job carrying the team’s DPS; they make the third slot flexible in every HSR Hysilens team.
Hysilens + Kafka + Asta + Gepard
Going for an HSR Hysilens F2P team, Hysilens still needs Kafka in order for the team to perform. However, the third slot is flexible and can have characters like Asta or Sampo. While Sampo creates a lot of DoTs and increases their DMG, Asta greatly buffs the team’s SPD and ATK%. You can even give Asta the Dance! Dance! Dance! Light Cone to further improve the team’s rotation. Not to mention, Asta burns enemies with her Basic ATK and allows Kafka and Hysilens to play more frequently.
Honkai Star Rail: Asta Build Guide
Asta is a 4-star, Speed-oriented support unit that can deal surprising levels of Fire damage in Honkai Star Rail. Here's how to build her.
As for sustain options, it’s better to include Preservation units like Gepard and give him the Trend of the Universal Market Light Cone. Gepard naturally attracts more enemy attacks, and that Light Cone will burn them every time they do, scaling the burn DMG with Gepard’s DEF. As usual with F2P teams, it’s not an ideal Hysilens team in HSR, but it gets the job done.
