Jiaoqiu in Honkai: Star Rail has a similar role to the 4-star Pela. Although at E0 his performance is on par with an E5 Pela, being a 5-star character, he has more room to grow and be more relevant through his Eidolon. Additionally, while his increase-DMG-received debuff is as strong as Pela's DEF reduction, Jiaoqiu has an edge compared to Pela when it comes to supporting characters who deal damage mainly through their Ultimate, like Argenti and Acheron.
When it comes to Acheron, it's important for Jiaoqiu build in HSR to include the correct stats and ensure he's maximizing the debuff he applies on enemies.

Best Jiaoqiu Relics In Honkai: Star Rail
Jiaoqiu depends on his DoT to deal DMG, which is expected from a Nihility unit in Honkai: Star Rail. That makes building him easy since all he needs is 4pc of Prisoner in Deep Confinement to maximize his DoT DMG.
It gets a little complicated when going into his Planar Ornaments since a wide variety of Relics can work on Jiaoqiu in Honkai: Star Rail. As you’re going to build Jiaoqiu with tons of Effect Hit Rate (EHR), Pan-Cosmic Commercial Enterprise can be perfect for him, as it massively increases his EHR and ATK% alongside his passive. You can also give him Broken Keel if he’s teaming up with characters like Acheron, who depends on Crit DMG. Finally, it’s always safe to place Space Sealing Station on DoT characters since their DMG scales with their ATK%.
As for the Relic Stats, aim to get around 180% Effect Hit Rate on Jiaoqiu since it massively increases his ATK% and ensures all his attacks will trigger his debuffs. Giving him an Effect Hit Rate Body Relic helps him reach the 180% mark. As for Feet, go for SPD to help him play more frequently and apply more debuffs. Planar Sphere is a pure DMG Relic for Jiaoqiu, with Fire DMG and ATK% being the top priority. Jiaoqiu’s Ultimate is the star of his kit, so, get him Energy Regeneration Rate on Link Rope to let him use his Ult more frequently. Sub-stats follow the same rules, which means Effect Hit Rate, SPD, and ATK% are the best Sub-stats that help you build the best Jiaoqiu in Honkai: Star Rail.
Best Jiaoqiu Light Cones In Honkai: Star Rail
The best Light Cone (LC) for Jiaoqiu in Honkai: Star Rail is Those Many Springs, his signature weapon. His best-in-slot (BiS) offers him a massive amount of Effect Hit Rate to help him reach the needed amount to maximize his ATK% gains. The LC additionally grants Jiaoqiu the ability to debuff enemies, increasing the DMG they receive from him and his allies.
Other than his BiS, Reforged Remembrance comes in as one of Jiaoqiu’s best Light Cones since it also grants him Effect Hit Rate alongside making his DoT ignore enemies DEF. Trailblazers with Silver Wolf's best weapon, Incessant Rain, can also use it on Jiaoqiu. Incessant Rain increases EHR and Crit Rate, and applies a debuff on enemies. The Crit Rate is useless on Jiaoqiu, but the extra-DMG-received debuff is similar to the one he gets from Those Many Springs.
As for 4-star Light Cones in Honkai: Star Rail, S5 Eyes of the Prey is a perfect weapon for Jiaoqiu. The LC grants him a decent amount of Effect Hit Rate with an acceptable increase to his DoT DMG.
For F2P options, go for S5 Before the Tutorial Mission Starts or S5 Solitary Healing. Before the Tutorial Mission Starts gives a small amount of Effect Hit Rate with some Energy if Jiaoqiu is paired with characters that reduce enemies’ DEF like Pela.
