Moze is a Shadow Guard of the Yaoqing and a 4-Star Lightning Hunt character in Honkai: Star Rail. He excels as a sub-DPS unit with a unique mechanic called Departed, which removes him from the action queue and renders him untargetable by both enemies and allies. This mechanic allows Moze to prolong many of the buffs applied to him before entering the Departed state, consistently enhancing his follow-up attack (FUA) and Charge-focused kit.
Moze will be looking to invest in a lot of CRIT Rate due to the generous amount of CRIT DMG from his Trace and Eidolon 2. He also benefits greatly from follow-up attack-oriented relic sets and pairs particularly well with other FUA characters thanks to his Talent. Furthermore, Moze can easily maintain two debuffs on his target, making him an excellent fit for debuff-centric sets and team compositions. Best Moze Relics in Honkai: Star Rail
The best-performing Relic set for Moze build in HSR is Pioneer Diver of Dead Waters, which increases damage to debuffed enemies and boosts CRIT Rate and CRIT DMG. Moze can consistently apply two debuffs to his priority target through his Prey mark and A6 Major Trace, but will need help to apply a third debuff to fully utilize this Relic set. Characters like Honkai: Star Rail Topaz, Dr. Ratio, and Aventurine make excellent follow-up attack partners for Moze, as they provide debuffs and create a feedback loop that synergizes with his Talent.
The Ashblazing Grand Duke is a very close second option, thanks to the multi-hit component of Moze’s FUA, boosting ATK and FUA damage. This Relic set doesn’t require teammates or Light Cones to fulfill its conditions, making it more flexible for some players. The performance difference between the two sets often comes down to sub-stat rolls.
Another viable FUA-focused option is The Wind-Soaring Valorous, which increases ATK, CRIT Rate, and Ultimate damage. Although it trails behind Pioneer Diver of Dead Waters in overall performance, it remains competitive, particularly when the Relic is equipped with strong sub-stat rolls. Lastly, any offensive 2-piece combination, such as Pioneer and Musketeer of Wild Wheat, can be solid alternatives with the right stats, performing similarly to The Wind-Soaring Valorous.

Jiaoqiu build in Honkai: Star Rail should focus on Effect Hit Rate, with a minimum of 140% to maximize his passive.
For Planar Ornaments, Duran, Dynasty of Running Wolves is Moze's best set, particularly when paired with another FUA unit to expedite stack acquisition. Players without Duran can opt for Izumo Gensei and Takama Divine Realm or Inert Salsotto, both of which are solid alternatives with CRIT Rate.
When it comes to sub-stats, Moze has a lot of room to invest in a high CRIT Rate due to his Traces providing 18% ATK and 37.3% CRIT DMG, with Eidolon 2 adding another 40% CRIT DMG. Additionally, his A4 Major Trace provides significant amounts of action advances, allowing Moze to function with just his base SPD of 111 and letting players opt for ATK% boots instead. If necessary, Moze can outpace units with 145 SPD by having just 113 SPD. With ATK boots, running a Lightning DMG Planar Sphere is essential to avoid diminishing returns on ATK.

Best Moze Light Cones in Honkai: Star Rail
Baptism of Pure Thought is Dr. Ratio's signature Light Cone, and it gives Moze the highest personal damage among the available options. On the other hand, Worrisome, Blissful is only slightly behind in personal damage but provides significantly better overall team damage. Given that Moze excels as a sub-DPS, it's generally recommended to use Worrisome, Blissful, especially when paired with another DPS unit. Additionally, this Light Cone provides a third debuff for Moze when using Pioneer Diver of Dead Waters, which broadens his team options.
Honkai: Star Rail – Robin Build Guide
Robin in Honkai: Star Rail as a ATK scaling support, is relatively easy to build with minimum optimal requirements.
Swordplay and Only Silence Remains are both viable 4- Star choices at Superimposition 5, albeit conditional. Swordplay's condition is easily met due to Moze's Prey mechanic, as he can't freely swap targets until the marked target dies or his Talent Charges are exhausted. Only Silence Remains is a bit more restrictive due to its target count conditions, but when used correctly, it can still be effective.
Lastly, Cruising in the Stellar Sea is always a great F2P option for Hunt characters thanks to its large CRIT Rate increase. Unfortunately, the ATK boost portion of this Light Cone cannot be reliably activated nor maintained by Moze because of his Prey mechanic. As such, players should disregard the ATK boost for this Light Cone when considering their options.
