As is typical with each new patch update for the game, a new Honkai: Star Rail character has come along for players to pull for. Huohuo is a five-star Wind Abundance path unit with some bits of her kit that almost make her double as a Honkai: Star Rail Harmony unit. Her healing scales off of her HP and she buffs party members' energy regeneration, ATK, and dispels one buff from a unit.
Huohuo traces are all, save for her basic attack, important for players to level. Her skill is where her healing abilities come in and should likely be prioritized first. Huohuo's burst is where she can buff allies much like a Honkai: Star Rail Harmony unit could and should be second. Her last but still important trace would be her talent, allowing passive healing when allies burst or take a turn and she has the talent effect Divine Provision activated.

Huohuo's Build
Once players have obtained Honkai: Star Rail's first-ever Wind Abundance unit, the first step after leveling her is to build her. For Honkai: Star Rail's Huohuo build, players should prioritize giving her a Messenger Traversing Hackerspace 4pc relic set to boost her support potential. She already does great as a support since she has Harmony- adjacent abilities in her kit. For planar ornaments, players can consider either Fleet of the Ageless or Broken Keel. For sub-stats, players should aim for:
- HP%
- Effect Res
- ERR
Huohuo's Light Cones
But, of course, relics and ornaments are not the only things players should get when building Huohuo—or any new character, for that matter. When it comes time to select Huohuo's best light cones, there are a good few options. Players should aim for a light cone that will either increase her support abilities or help her with healing since her healing is one of the main reasons players will pull for her. Some of the best options are:
- Fine Fruit (three-star, gacha, worst available but if there's nothing else, use it)
- Warmth Shortens Cold Nights (four-star, Nameless Honor)
- Shared Feeling (four-star, gacha)
- Night of Fright (five-star, Huohuo's signature light cone)
Huohuo's Team Comps
Those who have been playing for a while now know that most team comps in general come with a flex slot or an empty space, usually for either an extra support unit or a healer. In that case, some of Huohou's best team comps will be those that she slots in easily and can play the role of healer and support well. She's compatible with many great units because of her path as an Abundance unit. Players can slot her in with most units, but some exceptional ones are the following:
- Seele
- Jing Yuan
- Jingliu
- Imbibitor Lunae
- Argenti
Huohuo's Eidolons
Honkai: Star Rail players who have an extra bunch of Stellar Jade for Huohuo saved up can take a look into her Eidolons to see if they want to pull for more. Her most beneficial Eidolons will be her E2, E4, and E6. Her second Eidolon allows teammates to be revived and healed to 50% HP if her talent is active. Her fourth Eidolon allows teammates to be healed more if, when she does heal them, they're significantly lower than they should be. And finally, her E6 gives her teammates a significant damage increase (50%) each time they're healed. This is almost guaranteed 100% uptime since the buff increase lasts for 2 turns.
