Honkai: Star Rail

It's still quite early into Honkai: Star Rail Version 3.2's limited character banner runs, but some fans have already set their sights on Version 3.3's units. This is because Cipher's (Nihility - Quantum) and Hyacine’s (Remembrance - Wind) kits have already been leaked by reliable sources like Luna and HomDGCat. Hyacine, in particular, is an interesting character because she fills a certain niche that other Remembrance units haven't covered yet. Her leaked abilities also set her up to be a premium teammate for one of the most overpowered DPS characters in the current meta.

Hyacine is a Chrysos Heir who guards the Sky Coreflame. Her memosprite, the Pegasus Ica, assists her in her duties as a healer. According to the first version of her kit leaks, her abilities provide the following benefits to a team:

The information about Hyacine's skills is based on reliable but leaked information. Therefore, players should expect significant changes to her kit's multipliers, conditions, and other mechanics once she officially makes her debut in Honkai: Star Rail Version 3.3.

Consistent Healing from Hyacine and Her Memosprite: Hyacine's Skill and Ultimate provide healing to all allies. Meanwhile, Ica consumes their own health to heal allies when their HP gets reduced.
Max HP Buffs: When Hyacine uses her ultimate, she gets into her “Petrichoric Clear Skies” state, which increases the Max HP of all teammates by 30% plus 600.

Hyacine Could be the Best in Slot Sustain for Max HP-scaling Teams in Honkai: Star Rail

Some of the playable Chrysos Heir characters in Honkai: Star Rail Version 3 hit harder the bigger their HP pools are. Others also consume their own and/or their allies’ health to deal damage. Hyacine’s kit seems to be tailored to provide the perfect buffs and healing for these units.

Hyacine Could Take Castorice’s Damage to New Heights

Perhaps the most important ability in Castorice’s kit is her Memosprite Netherwing’s “Breath Scorches the Shadow” skill, which unleashes Quantum Damage equal to 24% of Castorice’s Max HP (at Trace Level 10) to all enemies. Each instance consumes Netherwing’s HP. Players can use this skill during Netherwing’s turn as much as they want, as long as the Memosprite is alive. When it dies, it activates its talent to deal six instances of Quantum Damage equal to 40% of Castorice’s Max HP.

This Memosprite skill and talent combo already does over two million damage when set up correctly. Hyacine’s Max HP-increasing ultimate can boost these damage numbers further. This sustain’s consistent healing also offers the following benefits for Castorice teams:

Iron-clad Survivability: Castorice also consumes her allies’ HP when using her base and enhanced skills. Her and her Memosprite’s damage also increases when her teammates lose health. Hyacine’s consistent healing provides a counterbalance to Castorice’s team HP consumption, ensuring that all allies are healthy in case a boss tries to sneak in a damaging move.
Improved Ultimate Rotations: This unit charges her ultimate every time allies get healed or take damage, making Hyacine an excellent ult battery.
Optimal Scorched Breath Uptime: Netherwing also gets healed when other allies get healed while they’re on the field. Hyacine’s healing ensures that Netherwing can get the HP they need to belt out as many instances of their dragon breath as possible.

Hyacine Also Makes Mydei and Tribbie Even More Top Tier

Mydei and Tribbie’s damage scale with Max HP, similar to Castorice. As such, Hyacine’s ultimate provides the perfect buff for these characters. Her and Ica’s healing also ensures that Mydei stays at a comfortable health value every time, so he doesn’t have to use his Vendetta state revive unless he absolutely needs to.

Hyacine’s value may decrease when paired with units who don’t rely on Max HP for their important mechanics. More traditional damage characters like Acheron and Feixiao, are best paired with sustains that provide more straightforward DMG and CRIT Buffs and enemy debuffs, like Aventurine, Fu Xuan, and Gallagher. For now, Hyacine is looking to be the best in slot sustain for a premium Amphoreus squad with Castorice/Mydei, Tribbie, Remembrance Trailblazer, and future Chrysos Heir units.
