Honkai: Star Rail has finally announced Jingliu, ending speculation about the arrival of one of the most anticipated characters for players of HoYoverse's space RPG. Honkai: Star Rail continues to expand its roster by bringing in new characters.

Honkai: Star Rail has added three new characters as part of its latest version. Luka is a spirited four-star rarity Wildfire member and a renowned boxing champion in the Belobog Underworld, while Blade is a five-star character and part of the Stellaron Hunters, known for being a swordsman who abandoned his body to become a blade. Honkai: Star Rail also added Kafka, who was highly anticipated by fans. Another member of the Stellaron Hunters, Kafka is a five-star character capable of creating fear in opponents as few people can.

Honkai: Star Rail has now revealed the new five-star character Jingliu, one of the most iconic names in the game's universe. Confirmed as an Ice character from the Destruction path, Jingliu once led the legendary group of heroes known as the High-Cloud Quintet, earning the title "Transcendent Flash." The group broke up less than a hundred years after it was formed, and Jingliu went insane after succumbing to Mara, the negative effect of gaining immortality by eating Yaoshi's fruit. Jingliu and Jing Yuan eventually faced each other, and she was defeated by Jing Yuan. It is not yet known how Honkai: Star Rail will bring Jingliu into the fold and explain her presumed death at the hands of her pupil.

Honkai: Star Rail players celebrated the announcement of Jingliu, happy to see the character coming to the game. Jingliu's arrival in Honkai: Star Rail has no set date, although there's speculation that Jingliu will possibly be a part of the Version 1.4 banners. Previous leaks have revealed Jingliu's kit and gameplay, giving players an idea of what to expect from her on the battlefield.

It's been a busy week for HoYoverse's RPG community, as Honkai: Star Rail announced a new Special Program to talk about the contents of Version 1.3. One of the main expectations is that Honkai: Star Rail will confirm Imbibitor Lunae, Fu Xuan, and Lynx as new characters, as well as announce new events and areas. With the announcement of Jingliu days before the Special Program, Honkai: Star Rail players can only wait and see if the Special Program will bring any additional information about the character.
