A batch of leaks from Honkai: Star Rail has revealed details for the gameplay of upcoming character Aventurine, expected to be arriving in a future update. With the recent debut of the HoYoverse sci-fi RPG's first post-launch update, players were treated to several new characters and promises of more on the way. Version 1.1 introduced two new five-stars to the game with Silver Wolf and Luocha, as well as Yukong as a new four-star character. The developer would also reveal three more new characters for Version 1.2 in Kafka, Blade, and Luka with many more leaked to be coming soon.Despite Honkai: Star Rail launching just under two months ago, leaks have already unveiled a plethora of content planned for future patches. Updates from the game's many leakers have teased a pair of five-star characters set to arrive with Version 1.3 in Fu Xuan and Imbibitor Lunae, a new version of starter character Dan Heng. Several other characters have also been teased, with Xueyi featuring in a side quest and characters like Misha and Firefly teased. Now, another character has seen new information surface with Aventurine's kit revealed. A recent update from prominent Honkai: Star Rail leaker Affinity has shared detailed information about how Aventurine will function in-game. Aventurine is set to be introduced to the game as a five-star Imaginary element character in the Preservation path, with abilities offering shielding for allies. Aventurine's Skill provides all allies with a shield and each part of his kit includes a unique mechanic revolving around playing card suits. Aventurine also features an "energy" mechanic utilizing the suits, granting increased DEF and initiating follow-up attacks after stacking 6 points of energy.
The leak shares details about Aventurine's Eidolons as well, providing more information for players looking to pick up multiple copies of the character. Aventurine's first Eidolon adds a taunt effect to the character after casting his Ultimate with his second Eidolon also providing debuff resistance for allies after using his Skill. Later upgrades provide boosts to the character's damage, providing bonus damage for his Basic Attack and later for all of his damage based on ally shield values. Aventurine's expected release date has yet to be revealed.
Aventurine's newest gameplay leaks comes among several other characters seeing details of their abilities surface in recent weeks. Both Version 1.2's Kafka and the previously mentioned Imbibitor Lunae have seen information about their gameplay leaked, showing off the characters' animations and abilities in combat. Others like Misha have seen their kits revealed ahead of any official models surfacing, describing them as a powerful Ice Destruction character focused on AoE damage. Honkai: Star Rail looks to have plenty of characters coming for all different playstyles throughout its initial updates.
Honkai: Star Rail is available now for PC and mobile devices. PS4 and PS5 versions are in development.
