Honkai: Star Rail Leak Teases Gameplay for Topaz and Jingliu

A new leak from Honkai: Star Rail showcases the gameplay animations for the game's two newest five-star characters set to debut with Version 1.4, Topaz and Jingliu. The playable cast of HoYoverse's sci-fi RPG has already grown considerably since the game's launch in April, adding a plethora of new characters to the game. Version 1.3's recent debut introduces a trio of characters with Imbibitor Lunae, Fu Xuan, and Lynx joining the roster. Now, leaks are giving a hint at two more characters already revealed to be coming with the game's next update.

Following the debut of Version 1.3's Special Program, Honkai: Star Rail would reveal the lineup of new characters set to join the RPG in the following Version 1.4. HoYoverse would officially announce Topaz and Jingliu as two new five-star characters joining the roster alongside a four-star character in Guinaifen. Early leaks and teasers have already seen Jingliu become one of the game's most highly-anticipated characters for her involvement in the lore of the Xianzhou Luofu. The newest leaks from Star Rail are now teasing the gameplay for both of Version 1.4's featured five-stars.

A new leak from Honkai: Star Rail leaker NotALeak has revealed the gameplay for both Topaz and Jingliu, showing off their combat animations. Jingliu is set to be introduced to Honkai: Star Rail as an Ice character in the Destruction Path, with both her Normal Attack and Skill dealing single-target damage. Jingliu's Ultimate deals AoE Ice damage while providing Jingliu with a variety of buffs, including Effect RES, Speed, and Ice Damage boosts. The video also teases her Spectral Transmigration Talent, providing even more buffs and giving access to her Enhanced Skill.

Topaz similarly looks to deal heavy single-target damage within Honkai: Star Rail, being introduced to the game as a Fire Hunt character. Topaz features a tiny Warp Trotter companion named Numby that deals follow-up damage after Topaz's Attacks. Topaz's Ultimate provides her with major boosts to her damage, providing a buff to both her overall damage and her Crit Damage while also triggering Numby's follow-up attack. Both Topaz and Jingliu are planned to release with Version 1.4, currently expected to launch on October 11.

The addition of Jingliu and Topaz to Honkai: Star Rail comes as just two of several characters planned for the game in the near future. Leaks have already teased Huohuo and Argenti as a pair of new five-star units believed to be debuting in Star Rail's Version 1.5 update. Interviews with HoYoverse have also suggested the possibility of future Honkai Impact 3rd crossover characters, particularly Raiden Mei and Yae Sakura. Topaz and Jingliu both look to be strong damage options for Star Rail players following Version 1.4's launch.
