Honkai: Star Rail has announced the date for its Version 2.0 Special Program stream. With the latest update coming in a few weeks, many Honkai: Star Rail players are looking forward to exploring Penacony and continuing the main adventure.
Honkai: Star Rail Version 2.0 is expected to be a big update as it will introduce the new world named Penacony, characters, main story quests, and many more. Honkai: Star Rail Version 2.0 Special Program Date
On January 26, Honkai: Star Rail will premiere its Version 2.0 Special Program stream titled "If One Dreams at Midnight." HoYoverse CEO Dawei and the Honkai: Star Rail project team will be leading the stream to showcase all the new features that players can expect in the next update. This will be different from the previous Special Program streams as it won't feature chibi Honkai: Star Rail characters played by the voice actors.
Many Honkai: Star Rail fans have been patiently waiting for Penacony to finally release, which is why they expressed their excitement for the upcoming Version 2.0 Special Program stream. They are mostly excited about experiencing Penacony, and pulling for the Version 2.0 banner characters, five-stars Black Swan and Sparkle and four-star Misha. Some are also looking forward to the rumored Imbibitor Lunae re-run in Honkai: Star Rail Version 2.0.
Known as the Planet of Festivities, Penacony is described as a European-inspired world inhabited by members of The Family. The Astral Express Crew was originally supposed to go to Penacony earlier after receiving an invitation from The Family to attend the Charmony Festival, but they were redirected to Xianzhou Luofu to deal with a Stellaron crisis. Apart from the Astral Express Crew, Honkai: Star Rail revealed other characters who will be present at the festival, such as Aventurine, Dr. Ratio, and Duke Inferno, among others. With so many personalities present in Penacony, players might be in for a wild ride during this arc.
What's great about the upcoming Honkai: Star Rail update is that players have several theories on where the story will go. It's still unknown if the Trailblazers will deal with another Stellaron crisis in Penacony, but players believe they'll face the powerful villains from the Annihilation Gang. If done right, Honkai: Star Rail might be able to keep players hooked on the story for the next few months.
