All levels in Honkai: Star Rail's Simulated Universe have varying difficulty levels that offer better rewards than usual. They don't change much thematically or design-wise, but players can expect to fight on uneven terrain since enemies will likely have a level advantage.

Among the challenges in the Simulated Universe, World 5 is especially notorious for its mind-controlling boss and annoyingly persistent common enemies. The second difficulty level of this World doesn't make things any better, either. Here's a Honkai: Star Rail guide covering general tips on World 5 Difficulty 2, as well as some recommendations for team compositions and Blessings.

World 5 Difficulty 2 Best Team Compositions

The vast majority of enemies in World 5 are weak to Ice, Physical, and Wind, including the final boss Kafka and three out of four possible elite enemies. Dan Heng is the best DPS unit to bring here, with Sampo trailing in very closely. Teams that are good for this World are as follows:

  • Wind Team: Dan Heng, Welt, March 7th, Natasha
  • Physical Team: Sushang, Bronya, March 7th, Natasha
  • Hybrid Team: Dan Heng, Physical Trailblazer, March 7th, Natasha
  • Nihility Team: Sampo, Welt, March 7th, Natasha

March and Natasha should be present in every team for World 5 Difficulty 2 because of Kafka's mind control attack. If the boss manages to snag the team's main DPS without any means of cleansing the debuff, then players will be in for a world of hurt.

Sushang can take over Dan Heng's slot as the main DPS unit when paired with an offensive support like Bronya or Tingyun. She and Natasha can break Physical Weaknesses together, resulting in more damage with the former's primary skill. Alternatively, Dan Heng and Physical Trailblazer together make up a fairly strong team against the enemies here.

Sampo has excellent boss-killing potential with his Ricochet Love skill—it can hit the same target multiple times, which can lead to faster Toughness breaks and more DoT applications.

Apart from having several debuffing skills, Kafka can deal a ton of single-target and cleave damage. The Path of the Abundance helps take some stress away from the team's dedicated healer while also granting everyone bonus damage via Dewdrops. When selecting Blessings, keep an eye out for the following:

  • Mudra of Blessing
  • Prosperity, Longevity
  • Resonance Formation: Anatta
  • Resonance Formation: Anicca
  • Aversion to Suffering (upgrade immediately)
  • Clear Lucite Body

Keep taking Abundance Blessings until both Anatta and Anicca become available. The latter is especially useful as it allows Path Resonance to cleanse debuffs.

Players should also try to get the Celestial Annihilation Blessing from the Path of the Hunt as well as any Weakness Break perks from the other Paths. Those who want to use Sampo as their main carry should go with Path of the Nihility instead and get as many buffs to Weakness Break and DoTs as possible.

Honkai: Star Rail is available now on iOS, Android, and PC, with a PS4 and PS5 version launching in Q4 2023.
