The developer previously revealed three new characters joining the roster with Yunli, Jiaoqiu, and a new version of March 7th appearing during Version 2.4. Honkai: Star Rail Launches Version 2.4 Update
Honkai: Star Rail officially launched its newest version on Wednesday, debuting with a brand-new character and a new area to explore in the Xianzhou Luofu. The story of Version 2.4 will see players once again returning to the Xianzhou Luofu, following the conclusion of Penacony's story in Version 2.3. Version 2.4 introduces the "Shackling Prison" map to the Xianzhou Luofu, a facility that serves as playable characters Xueyi and Hanya's workplaces. The update debuts a brand-new character to the roster, with five-star Physical Destruction character Yunli available alongside a re-run of popular five-star healer Huohuo.
Beyond its initial gacha banner, HoYoverse has plenty in store for players throughout Honkai: Star Rail's newest patch. The second half of the update will see another new five-star character debut with the Yaoqing's Jiaoqiu, as well as a re-run of powerful Penacony support character Sparkle. Version 2.4 also introduces Star Rail's newest variant character, with fan-favorite starter character March 7th receiving a new form shifting her into the DPS-focused Hunt Path. Players can pick up March 7th's new form by completing Version 2.4's story content.
With plenty on the way from Honkai: Star Rail during Version 2.4, HoYoverse recently revealed an even more exciting update to the game. Honkai: Star Rail recently teased the game's first crossover, teaming up with beloved anime franchise Fate/Stay Night during a future update. The collaboration is set to launch sometime in Q4 2025, though no official details about what the crossover will contain have been confirmed by the developer. Between the game's first crossover and several new characters, Honkai: Star Rail fans look to have plenty of exciting content on the way.
