Honkai: Star Rail has confirmed that its highly anticipated Version 3.4 is scheduled to be released on July 2. The update will feature the Honkai: Star Rail collaboration with Fate/Stay Night and introduce a new Trailblaze Mission. Three new limited characters are also debuting during the patch, including the fan-favorite Phainon.
After most of the Chrysos Heirs sacrificed themselves for the Flame-Chase Journey, it was up to Phainon to deliver the final Coreflame. The 3.3 main story also left on a cliffhanger after showing Cyrene's first in-game appearance. Now, players are eager to find out what will happen to Amphoreus and the Trailblazer. To share more about Version 3.4, HoYoverse recently held a special livestream that gave fans some exclusive Honkai: Star Rail redeem codes and unveiled a ton of content coming to the game.
Honkai's Next Game Already Has a Big Hurdle It Needs to Overcome
Honkai is getting a new game that may take plenty of notes from Pokemon, and knowing how HoYoVerse games tend to work, there may be a problem already.
Honkai: Star Rail has announced that Version 3.4, titled "For the Sun is Set to Die," will be available on July 2. As confirmed by the developers, the first half of the update will debut the 5-Star character Phainon, a Physical Destruction unit that is set to become the next best DPS in Honkai: Star Rail. Phase 1 will also feature a special triple banner with Tribbie, Sunday, and Sparkle reruns. The second half will be filled with reruns of Destruction characters with Firefly, Jingliu, and Blade making a comeback. Additionally, on July 11, Honkai: Star Rail's crossover with Fate/Stay Night UBW will kick off limited banners for the 5-star units Saber and Archer. These banners will be independent and require Special Passes. Moreover, players can claim a free copy of Archer simply by logging into Honkai: Star Rail from July 11 to the end of Version 3.6. HoYoverse has added that they don't have a fixed end date yet, so players can expect Saber and Archer's banners to stay beyond the 3.6 update. Finally, Version 3.4 is adding a new purchasable skin for Firefly called "Spring Missive," which gives her a school uniform-like outfit.

A new long-term co-op game mode with Origami Birds will be added as well. The Fate/Stay Night collaboration doesn't end with the character banners. The crossover event will add a new combat game mode and a Holy Grail War storyline set in Penacony that sees Saber, Archer, and Lancer meet the Trailblazer, Aventurine, Boothill, and Robin. The event will end once Version 3.6 wraps up. It is worth noting that Honkai: Star Rail players can get Archer's signature Light Cone for free if they spend 200 Special Passes on any banners between July 2 and August 13.
Honkai: Star Rail Version 3.4 is also adding buffs to Kafka, Silver Wolf, Jingliu, and Blade's playable kits, enhancing their Eidolons and skills. Players can choose to use the buffs or stick to their previous abilities. HoYoverse has also confirmed that Kafka and Silver Wolf's banners will be part of Version 3.5. They will join Honkai: Star Rail's upcoming characters, Hysilens and Cerydra, two other popular Chrysos Heirs.
