The previous chapter of Horizon Zero Dawn Remastered could be considered part two of the tutorial. While there isn't much that happens in the next quest, Mother's Heart, it does help set the scene for the Proving and everything that comes after for Aloy. You will want to make sure that you are fully prepared for the Proving, so take your time to complete the errand and side quest. Here is what you can expect in the second main quest, Mother's Heart.

Talk to Rost
The first step for this quest is to head north and speak with Rost. But before that, make sure to allocate any skill points you got from leveling up and also from completing the previous main story quest. Once you are ready to continue with the story, talk to Rost and say that you are ready.
When Rost leaves, head toward the gate for Mother's Heart to trigger another cutscene. There isn't much to do in Mother's Heart at present, so head up to meet your "old friend". Teb, that guy you saved during the tutorial, is now an armor vendor. He will give you your first set of armor for free, and he offers more powerful armor in exchange for resources like Metal Shards.
The armor that you get from Teb includes a socket for modifications. If you've picked up any, you should add one to your armor. Modifications can boost your damage and reduce the amount of damage you take, so make sure to equip as many as your weapons and armor allow.
Head to the Matriarch's Lodge
When you are done shopping, follow the path and go west toward the Matriarch's Lodge. Along the way, Karst will call you over if you want to purchase anything before the Proving. Talk to him and then head up toward the Matriarch's Lodge to trigger a cutscene. Afterward, approach the man wearing a Focus and talk to him, and then talk to Erend.
Next, go left past the Matriarch's Lodge and head down the path to where the Blessing Ceremony is taking place. Following the cutscene you will have two objectives:
- Talk to Olin
- Go to the Hunter's Lodge
Talking to Olin is entirely optional. You won't learn much from him, and he will spend most of his time just trying to get rid of you. Either way, head to the Hunter's Lodge when you are ready to continue with the story. Between the guard outside and Bast inside the lodge, you don't get much of a warm welcome.
Before going to bed, you can speak to Vala whom has a better opinion of Aloy than almost everyone else in the Nora tribe. When you interact with the bed, this mission comes to a close and the next one begins.
