How to Play Bank Heists in Monopoly GO

If you’ve been playing the game for a while, you've probably seen your opponents do a Bank Heist. This minigame gives you a chance to break your opponents’ banks and steal their cash.

When a Bank Heist starts, you will see a grid with 12 doors. Behind each door is one of three items: a silver coin, a diamond ring, or a gold coin. Your goal here is to pick doors and try to find three matching items. If you match three of the same, you’ll successfully rob your opponent and walk away with some serious money.

It is important to note that the items you match in a Bank Heist determine the type of heist and how much money you’ll steal. Let’s see how it works:

Three Silver Coins: This triggers a small heist. As you can guess, it gives you a small amount of cash.
Three Cash Bundles: This triggers a large heist. It will earn you a big chunk of money from your opponent’s bank.
Three Diamond Rings: This one’s called Bankrupt heist where you steal the biggest amount of money from the other player’s bank.

To trigger the Bank Heist minigame, fans will need to land on any of the four Railroad squares on their current board. However, it’s not always guaranteed to activate the Bank Heist. Sometimes, you might get the Shutdown minigame instead. It’s completely random which one you’ll get.

If you want to make the most out of your Bank Heist, you have the option to activate a higher multiplier before throwing your dice. And just to quickly mention, unlike the Shutdown minigame where players can use shields to protect their landmarks, there’s no way to protect your bank from opponents during Bank Heists.

The only real way to protect your money is to not leave much in your bank. So before you log off, make sure to spend all your cash. And yes, your bank is safe while you’re online, so if you want to avoid getting robbed, just stay active in the game.
