Wild Zones in Pokemon Legends: Z-A are specific zoned-off areas of Lumiose City that have a bunch of wild Pokemon in them for you to battle and capture. Each Wild Zone is numbered, and the first one you encounter with Taunie will have seven different Pokemon to catch (if you want to 100% the area that is).
We'll show you the seven Pokemon that make up Wild Zone 1 in Pokemon Legends: Z-A and how to catch each one to fill your Pokedex.

Learn how to unlock all 20 Wild Zones in Pokemon Legends: Z-A and which Pokemon and Alpha Pokemon you can expect to find in them.
You'll enter Wild Zone 1 as part of the main story, but you won't need to catch every Pokemon in the section to progress the narrative.
All Wild Zone 1 Pokemon & How to Catch Them in Pokemon Legends ZA
Where's Fletchling?
The first Pokemon you will catch in Wild Zone 1 is
Fletchling (as part of the storyline). Not hard to miss at all!
Fletchling is a Normal/Flying-type Pokemon that evolves into the Fire/Flying-type,
Fletchinder, at around level 17.
Where's Bunnelby?
Taunie will also teach you how to knock out a wild Pokemon and introduce you to a
Bunnelby. Another unmissable Pokemon in Wild Zone 1.
Where's Scatterbug?
Scatterbug will hang out in the grass in the middle section of the Wild Zone near the court.
Where's Weedle?
You should be able to find
Weedle by the bathroom to the west of where the Scatterbugs are.
Where's Mareep?
You can find a couple of
Mareep hanging by the western gate of Wild Zone 1. These are Electric-types that will evolve into
Flaaffy at level 15 and
Ampharos at level 30.
Where's Pichu?
Once you learn Rock Smash as part of the story, head over to the boulders near Mareep and the western gate to smash the rocks on the side. You'll find a pond and a
Pichu on the other side. The best way to throw a Poke Ball to catch it is to sneak up on it from behind. There's a gate to the Wild Zone right near Pichu, so if you go around through the back, you can easily crouch in the grass and toss the ball to catch it without fighting.
You can also just climb the ladder near the pond and then roll over the side of the roof, but Pichu might get scared and run away.
Where's Pidgey?
And for the last Pokemon that might confuse players, we got
Pidgey. The iconic Gen 1 Flying-type can be found by using Rock Smash on the boulders near Mareep. Climb the ladder by the pond, and then you can actually walk up onto the rooftops to find a second ladder leading to Pidgey and some items.
