Combos are back in WWE 2K25, allowing you to mix up your striking game along with grapples. They are more challenging to predict during a match and are an excellent way to regain momentum when you're on the receiving end of a beating from your opponent in WWE 2K25. Instead of trying to hit your opponents with light and heavy attacks on their own, you can combine both and finish the sequence with a grapple move in a smooth, rhythmic flow. While these combinations are challenging to anticipate, this guide will also explain how to counter them with breakers to reverse your opponent's moves.

How To Perform Combos In WWE 2K25
WWE wrestlers have unique combinations that can end with light, heavy, and grapples. Pause the game during a match to check out your wrestler's combos. You can also view your opponent's combos by pressing the R2/RT button from the pause screen. This is the best way to practice the moves. However, the most successful combos often end with a grapple move. The key to successfully landing combos against your opponents, whether against a computer or a human, is to avoid being predictable. If you become too predictable, your opponent can easily time a combo breaker to counter your moves.
How To Reverse Combo in WWE 2K25
You can counter your opponent's combo by using the reversal button (Y/Triangle) or a combo breaker. Timing your reversal can be challenging, but observing your opponent's attacks and executing a combo breaker is often more effective.
For example, if your opponent frequently uses light attacks with the X/Square button, you can counter them by repeatedly tapping the X/Square button. If they mix it up by concluding their combo with a grapple using the B/Circle button, you'll need to time your combo breaker by pressing the B/Circle button at the end of their combination.
Practice Your Reversals
One of the newest and most useful features in WWE 2K25 is hidden in the Move Set menu. It allows you to practice your reversals and timing for specific strikes and grapples. Unfortunately, it won't let you practice reversals and combo breakers against combo chains and enders. However, learning how to counter strikes and grapples with the reversal will help you with breaking the cycle of attacks from your opponents and making you a master at reversing any move in the game with or without a combo-breaking move:
- Head to the Creations screen
- Select Move-Set and pick a wrestler.
- Select Moves.
- Click Standing and select Front.
- Now, open light, heavy, or grapple attacks, and pick the move you want to learn how to reverse.
- Then, press X/Square to preview the move.
- Now, press Y/Triangle to open Reversal Practice.
- You can now practice reversing that specific move in WWE 2K25.
That's everything you need to practice combinations and learn how to reverse them in a WWE 2K25 match.
