One of the great things about the Battlefield 6 campaign is that it not only introduces core gameplay mechanics but also includes challenges. These challenges can range from as simple as completing the mission to as difficult as finishing the campaign on Hardcore difficulty.
Challenge Expert 1 requires the player to complete a mission without firing a gun. Now, this might sound extremely difficult, but you need to keep in mind that you can use melee weapons, gadgets, and grenades to clear any mission. Not all the missions are viable for this challenge, as some might be too open, potentially risking your life when going out in the open for a melee. Luckily, there is a mission where you get a more powerful melee weapon, which will complete this Battlefield 6 mission with ease

How to Complete a Mission Without Firing a Gun in Battlefield 6 (Challenge Expert 1)
The fifth mission in the game, No Sleep, where you play as MSgt Haz Carter, is the mission you need to choose. When selecting difficulty, you must select the Recruit option so that you can easily complete this challenge, as the AI is much more forgiving. As the mission starts, you will exit the helicopter and have to follow Sgt. Acre to the briefing room.
You won't be able to use your weapon here, so no need to worry about accidentally shooting a bullet and voiding the challenge. Follow your team, and when you approach the second building, go to Gecko downstairs. When you press the option to Force Open, a cutscene will play where your squad member will hand you a Sledgehammer.
This Sledgehammer will kill any enemy in one hit, so it is best to keep this equipped. You can do this by holding down the melee button, and your character will carry the weapon around. Head up the stairs to face the first group of enemies, and you will have multiple close-quarter encounters for now. When you go up to the roof to deal with enemies across the street, you can wait and ignore them, letting your squad members deal with them.
RPGs are lying around the roof to use, as they count as gadgets.
For the rest of the mission, keep using the Sledgehammer for the kills, and make sure you don't rush into multiple enemies at once, as you can get downed by these enemies despite their bad aim. Don't forget to grab the dog tags along the way, as there are three collectibles in this mission. Once the mission is completed, you will get Polar Nexus (Weapon Camo).
Some players have reported that the challenge is bugged on a lot of the missions. If this is the case for you, then you can opt for the seventh mission, Nile Guard. During the first section of this mission, you will be driving a tank and must make sure you only use the primary fire. Once you exit the vehicle at the end of the mission before the final encounter, only use Gadgets and your melee weapon to deal with the remaining enemies.
