Enemies and Bosses in Elden Ring Nightreign are quite unique, not only because of their grotesque designs and dynamic attack patterns, but also due to the various Status Ailments they can inflict on players mid-combat. These afflictions can quickly turn the tide of battle, weakening your character or slowing you down when it matters most.
Elden Ring Nightreign Review
A near-perfect merging of FromSoftware game design and roguelike structure, Elden Ring Nightreign is a bold experiment and one of 2025's highlights.
Learning how to deal with these conditions is crucial for surviving expeditions across Limveld. This guide offers information on every Status Ailment in the game and ways of curing them in Elden Ring Nightreign.
How to Cure All Status Ailments In Elden Ring Nightreign
As you begin your expeditions, you will eventually come across patches of glowing grass on the ground, usually surrounded by fluttering butterflies. These spots indicate zones where you can cleanse all active status ailments. Since these glowing patches are fairly common and scattered throughout Limveld, they offer a reliable way to recover if you find yourself afflicted. However, there will be times when you are far from one of these areas—in such cases, you can turn to alternative methods. For example, when heading toward Churches to upgrade your flask, interacting with the altar not only grants the upgrade but also removes any status ailments currently affecting you.
There are a total of seven Status Ailments in the game, and thankfully, there is a dedicated item available to cure each of them. Acquiring these curative items, however, can be somewhat tricky, as their drops are randomized and may come from destroyed crates or specific enemies.
One useful thing to keep in mind is that Boluses not only remove status effects but also restore a small portion of your HP and increase resistance to the ailment for a short duration.
Below is a complete list of all the Boluses and the ailments they treat:
- Neutralizing Boluses – Cures Poison buildup and ailment (Green-colored)
- Preserving Boluses – Cures Scarlet Rot buildup and ailment (Pink-colored)
- Stanching Boluses – Cures Blood Loss buildup (Red-colored)
- Thawfrost Boluses – Cures Frostbite buildup and ailment (Blue-colored)
- Stimulating Boluses – Cures Sleep buildup (Purple-colored)
- Clarifying Boluses – Cures Madness buildup (Yellow-colored)
- Rejuvenating Boluses – Cures Death Blight buildup (Black-colored)
Aside from all of these items, there is also the Speckled Hardtear, which you can purchase from the Ghostly Merchant whenever it appears in his shop or acquire as a reward, most commonly from a Sorcerer’s Rise.
