The Crater is the first Shifting Earth Event that players access after completing the first Expedition, Tricephalos. In the next Expeditions, players will spot a massive crater on the upper section of the map, covering nearly a quarter of Limveld. This World Event features tough bosses, fiery terrain, and lava-filled zones that can be especially punishing if not navigated carefully.
Elden Ring Nightreign Dexterity Stat, Explained
There are several different stats in Elden Ring Nightreign and Dexterity is one of them that isn't clearly explained.
As the time for each day and night is already limited, reaching the bottom of the crater and getting out with the blessing can be a difficult task. Here is how players can find the secret of the crater and what rewards/blessings they can expect to get in Elden Ring: Nightreign.
How to Find the Secret of the Crater In Elden Ring Nightreign
After starting an expedition, you should focus on doing what you usually do on the first Day: going for Flask Upgrades, looking for a location with the affinity that the boss is weak to, and checking out the Castle if they have any Crucible Knights to defeat, as they yield the most Runes out of all normal enemies. Try to stay away from the top side of the map, as you must prioritize that for the second day. After defeating the boss of Night 1, finish up anything you missed and start making your way to the Crater before the first Night's Tide starts moving. The minimum level for the Crater would be around level 8, but visiting the place when you reach level 10 is recommended to make exploration and boss fights much easier.
You can pretty much enter the Crater from any side, and you will be greeted, in most cases, by Thorn Sorcerers and Fire Monks. If you are entering from the left side, then be sure to pick the Flask Upgrade from the Church, but don't worry, you can still get it after the Crater if you can manage to complete it in time. There are two Formidable Great Enemies located on the upper section: Fallingstar Beast and Valiant Gargoyle. Though these bosses should not pose much of a threat, the problematic thing about these fights is that most of the boss areas are covered in lava, so you must make sure you do not step on it to avoid taking damage and slowing your movement speed.
Near the Fallingstar Beast, you can find a path that goes down by walking on the fallen-down pillar. You will find two Sorcerers and a Fire Prelate. The Prelate drops a Dormant Power, so it’s best to take this enemy out before dropping down into the hole. Keep going north, and you might find another Prelate that you can take down for another potential Power.
If the Prelate did not spawn, then you can simply ignore the lesser enemies and make your way further northeast through the makeshift path laid down ahead.
There should be a few Sorcerers that you can deal with before taking a left to encounter the Trio Boss fight, Fire Prelates. The path ahead of them will be obstructed by a Fog Gate, so dealing with them is a must.
How to Equip Goblets, Chalices, Grails & Urns (& How to Get Them) in Elden Ring Nightreign
Elden Ring Nightreign players who want to put their new vessel to use can learn how to equip Goblets, Chalices, Grails, Urns here.
The Path to the Magma Wyrm
After the Great Enemy has been dealt with, head through the gate and turn right. Along the path, you will come across multiple Flame Chariots that you should only fight if you know how to double jump on them and kill them instantly by attacking the weak spot on the top. At the end of the path, you can take a right and immediately take a left. You will come across the last Site of Grace before you fight the final boss of the Crater, so level up if you can and go southwest. There should be a place you can drop down to, then look northwest to spot some rock platforms below you. Fall down to these platforms one by one, making your way east, and you will find yourself in the arena of the Magma Wyrm.
Once the Magma Wyrm has been dealt with, interact with the Smithing Table right ahead to strengthen your armament. This allows you to upgrade any one of your weapons to the Legendary Rarity free of cost. Once you complete the upgrade, a screen will pop up saying "Legend Forged," and this should pop the trophy/achievement "The Crater." This completes the Crater Event, and you can turn around to find a Spectral Hawk, which should take you to the top of the Crater, where the second circle will end.
As the goal of the Crater is to reach the bottom floor, you can try jumping down to lower areas to save time without worrying about getting damaged. However, you should avoid landing in any lava.
