Blast Powder is a resource that cannot be crafted, instead, you have to find it yourself. This is quite difficult if you don't know where to look, but there are generally 2 options you can use.

Killing Enemies

The first and less time-consuming option is killing enemies. Not all mobs drop Blast Powder, so you will need to focus on finding Skeleton Pirates. This type of mob, in most cases, spawns at night, and you can find them in the beach biome. It's worth noting that they usually spawn in groups with both melee and ranged warriors. To successfully resist them, it is recommended to take the following items with you:

Swords - Take a few, as they break pretty quickly, and fighting a group of enemies with bare hands is not a good idea.
Shield - A must because the archers will be very annoying.
Food - To restore your health.
Recurve Crossbow and arrows - To resist the archers without getting close to them.
Ally - Take friendly NPCs or friends with you to make fighting a group of enemies easier.

Then, just go into battle and destroy them all. These mobs currently have the highest chance of dropping Blast Powder, so you're more likely to get it.
