Cobalion is a member of the legendary Swords of Justice Trio, introduced in the fifth generation of Pokemon. The Iron Will Pokemon is obtainable for players who have finished the story of Pokemon Scarlet & Violet's second expansion, The Indigo Disk. Once the credits have rolled for the expansion's story, Snacksworth will be waiting to give you a Cobalion Treat to make it appear back in Paldea.
Pokemon Scarlet & Violet: How to Make 4 Star Sandwiches
One of the Group BBQs in Indigo Disk are making four-star sandwiches, so here's what you'll need to know as well as several recipes you can try.
Getting the treat from Snacksworth will take finishing some BBQs; depending on the version of Pokemon you're playing, it may take playing with some friends to complete group quests. If you are playing Violet, it will take ten solo quests to get a treat from a pool of nine legendaries. Those who play Scarlet must complete group quests to unlock legendaries from the other version.
Snacksworth will be standing towards the right side of the turnstiles, with a yellow text bubble at the entrance of the Blueberry Academy.
Cobalion Location in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet
Once you have received your Cobalion Treat from Snacksworth, all that's left is to find the Steel/Fighting Legendary in the Paldea region. The most direct route would be to fly to Fury Falls, and to the right of the waterfall behind where Kubfu is found is a cliff where Cobalion will be standing awaiting a battle --climb the cliff to reach it.
Above is the fast travel point for Fury Falls, which is closest to Cobalion. Below is a video displaying more clearly where Cobalion will be on the map.
Be sure to stock up on plenty of Poke Balls and to save before encountering Cobalion. If you accidentally knock it out, there will be some time before it returns.
Cobalion Moveset and Weaknesses/Resistances
Cobalion is a dual Steel/Fighting type. It only has three weaknesses, quite a few resistances, and even immunity to Poison. The three types it is weak to are Fire, Fighting, and Ground. It takes half the normal damage from these types: Normal, Steel, Grass, Ice, and Dark. And it takes a quarter of the normal damage from Rock and Bug-type moves.
Using a Pokemon with the move False Swipe and putting Cobalion to Sleep or paralyzing it will give you the best chance to catch it, but be sure to eat a sandwich beforehand and buff your catch rate.
Here's a table of Cobalion's moveset, along with the move's type, power, accuracy, and in-game description:
