How to Get Konpaku Gems in P5X

There are multiple ways of getting Konpaku Gems, with each one being a viable method to farm depending on which content you engage with the most.

  • Clearing battles in the Realm of Repression. (Specifically from Pursuit of Treasure)
  • The Velvet Trials.
  • Nightmare's Gateway Rewards for dealing enough damage.
  • Traded for in Assist Rewards.
  • Rewarded for ranking up your Train Ticket in Mementos.
  • Clearing event levels.
  • Phantom Pass rank rewards.

What are Konpaku Gems Used for In P5X?

Konpaku Gems are used anytime you want to upgrade your Phantom Thieves. No matter what you're upgrading, you'll need a resource to actually give XP to the Thief or Weapon, but you'll also need to spend Konpaku Gems in order to use the resource. Since it's easy for Konpaku Gems to run out, you should focus on using them in the following order from most important to least:

Ranking up a Phantom Thief's Awareness will be best for them long term, but the boosts they offer stat-wise are percentage-based. The top two options will help get those base stats higher to further benefit the percentage boost. The additional perks given with Awareness can also be helpful later on, but aren't as helpful compared to over-leveled party members.
