Feathers are one of the tougher resources to find in Dying Light: The Beast. Not only are they needed to make the bow early on in the game, but they're required for resource upgrades and other crafting recipes later on, too. This makes their scarcity a bit of a problem, especially if you like to use ranged weapons to take out enemies. In this guide, I'll run you through where to find feathers, so you'll always have plenty to craft the weapons and gear that you need.

Dying Light: The Beast Feather Locations
There are three different places you can commonly find feathers in Dying Light: The Beast. These are:
- Fashion Store Dark Zones
- At the top of watchtowers
- Chicken Coops
Fashion Store Dark Zones
Dark Zones can be found throughout the world of Dying Light: The Beast. These locations are, as the name suggests, dark inside and are filled with zombies, normally including a Volatile or powerful type of zombie. While feathers won't be found in every Dark Zone, you'll want to look out for any that appear to be a fashion store that sells clothing. Thanks to the fancy materials that the clothes in these stores use, you can typically find feathers when scavenging. Just make sure you use R3 to trigger your survivor senses and loot everything.
Watchtowers
Throughout the world, you'll find some watchtowers that can also act as safe places for you to rest up when you're out exploring the world. While feathers again aren't guaranteed to be awaiting you here, I did find a few watchtowers that had feathers on the ledges at the very top of them. It makes sense, given birds would likely be sitting up here as a nice vantage point.
Chicken Coops
The best place to get feathers in Dying Light: The Beast is the chicken coops by the Farmhouses in the 'Villa Area' of the map, shown on the map screenshot above. Head to this area, and you'll find a ton of farmhouses with chicken coops. Use your survivor senses again here and you'll find sets of three to six feathers dotted around the farmhouses themselves.
While this is by no means an infinite source of feathers, it's by far the best place on the map to get a lot of them quickly, and it will get you more than enough to craft whatever it is that you want to help you on your adventure next.
While you're gathering feathers from the chicken coop, you can also find a live chicken eating a zombie as a little bit of an Easter Egg.
