How To Get The Shotgun in Silent Hill 2 Remake
The Shotgun is tucked away in a locker inside the Women’s Locker Room, located on the second floor of Brookhaven Hospital. As the story unfolds, you'll naturally find yourself exploring this hospital and even come across the empty cabinet where the Shotgun is supposed to be stored at the entrance to Brookhaven Hospital.
Before you can get the Shotgun, you’ll need to progress through the hospital’s main storyline to a specific point. Here’s a quick walkthrough of how you can get the Shotgun in Silent Hill 2 Remake:
- Enter Brookhaven Hospital and grab the map from the Reception area.
- In the Reception Office, you’ll find a padlock and a note stating you can find the code in Exam Room 3. Head to the room and search for another note that explains the code.
- Open the locker using your code and get the Basement Key.
- Head to the Basement and grab the map of the area.
- Next, find a way to activate the Elevator. You can use a Filled Fuel Can to power up the Generator.
- To get a Filled Fuel Can, pick up the Empty Fuel Can in the Boiler Room and fill it up from the Fuel Tank in the Storage Room.
- Once the Elevator is active again, you can use it to travel between the basement, first floor, and second floor of Brookhaven Hospital.
- Get to the second floor and explore all the smaller rooms to pick up Handgun Ammo and Shotgun Shells.
- Continue west and then south, passing the Director’s Office until you reach the Women’s Locker Room on the far left. Here, you’ll find the Shotgun inside an open locker.
Make sure to inspect the teddy bear sitting on the chair in the Women’s Locker Room. It contains the Bent Needle, an item you’ll need for solving the Drain puzzle later on.
Where To Get Shotgun Shells in Silent Hill 2
The Shotgun is a powerful weapon, but its ammo can be scarce early on, so use it wisely. You can get plenty of shotgun shells simply by thoroughly exploring Brookhaven Hospital. There are some Shotgun Shells in the Women’s Locker Room, where you found the shotgun.
In addition, you can find Shotgun Shells and even Handgun Ammo in the Reception Area, Tech Room, Laundry Room, and other smaller rooms of the hospital.
