The only way to get the Ominous Trial Key in Minecraft is to complete the ominous trial spawner. This trial is a harder version of the regular trial spawner that summons more armored and buffed enemies, clouds with the debuff effects, and stray projectiles. So, if you have difficulty completing regular Trial Chambers, you will not have a good time. But as a reward for completing this challenge, you will be able to receive more valuable rewards, one of which is the Ominous Trial Key that drops with a 30% chance.

As mentioned before, an ominous trial spawner is not a random event but a separate test option that requires specific actions from the player:

First, you must get Ominous Bottles. This new drink has a 100% chance to drop from Pillager Raid Captains or an 18.6% chance from Vaults that you unlock with a regular Trial Key.
After drinking Ominous Bottles, you get the Bad Omen effect 1-5 level.
Go to the Trial Chamber and find the trial spawner to automatically replace your Bad Omen effect with the Trial Omen effect. It is worth noting that the level of the Ominous Bottle you drink affects the level of the Trial Omen effect, which, in turn, determines the effect duration. Simply put, each level adds 15 minutes to the duration.
When approaching a trial spawner with the Trial Omen effect, it will turn into an Ominous trial spawner.
After completing this trial and collecting the reward, the spawner will begin a 30-minute cooldown, so hurry to the next one while the Trial Omen effect is active.
Considering that the chance of obtaining the Ominous Trial Key is only 30%, you will likely have to complete several trials before you succeed.
