Phaseglass Refractions are one of the new destination materials made available for Destiny 2 after the launch of The Edge of Fate. They work much like the materials found on other planets in previous versions of the game, but since they're needed for Focused Decoding at the Altar of Relativity in Kepler, players will want to keep a healthy stockpile of Phaseglass Refractions if they want to maximize their loot income.
If you're playing through the early parts of Edge of Fate, you might be wondering where all the Phaseglass Refractions are. Don't worry — these things are plentiful, but you'll need to spend more time on Kepler if you want to find where they are.

Giver's Blessing is a Rapid-Frame Kinetic Auto Rifle that is here to shake the Destiny 2 Meta. Here are its God Rolls for PvP and PvE.
Where to Find Phaseglass Refractions in Destiny 2
Phaseglass Refractions are crystal-like objects that can be found in The Gorge, a sub-area of Kepler that only becomes accessible after players get the first two Strangelets in the Edge of Fate campaign. The entrance to the Gorge will be locked until those two strangelets have been recovered, so take your time and focus on the matter at hand.
Once you do unlock the way to the Gorge, you'll find Phaseglass Refractions sticking out like sore thumbs along the rock walls. The best way to find them is to equip a Wombo Detector on your Ghost — this will mark all materials and caches within 50 meters on your HUD. Put that on your Ghost, then run around the Gorge until you get all the Phaseglass Refractions you need.
How to Use Phaseglass Refractions in Destiny 2
Like all destination materials in Kepler, Phaseglass Refractions are used to focus Kepler gear at the Altar of Relativity. However, the destination material required to focus engrams changes daily. Because of this, we recommend gathering equal amounts of all Kepler materials while you're doing things on the planetoid.
Destination materials aren't enough to focus equipment at the Altar, though. You'll also need Fated Ciphers, which are obtained through a variety of means. Completing activities on Kepler should earn you some Fated Ciphers for every rewards chest you open — this includes Time Latch missions, The Sieve runs, and replayed Edge of Fate campaign missions.
The number of Fated Ciphers and destination materials you need to focus engrams at the Altar of Relativity increases based on the tier of the engram that you want to open. However, before you can get higher-tier gear from higher-tier focused engrams, you'll need to complete a few Triumphs first.
