How to Play the Claw Machine Game in Umamusume Pretty Derby

To get the Claw Machine game in Umamusume Pretty Derby, you first need to start a trainee's career, reach the Classic years, and then take her on Recreational Outings until the mini-game appears. This can be especially difficult with characters who have tight deadlines for their racing goals, like Sakura Bakushin O, Gold Ship, and Daiwa Scarlet. So, the best horsegirl to choose for this mission is Haru Urara since she has multiple fan-building goals in her Classic years that give you plenty of time to trigger the Claw Machine game.

Haru Urara’s Classic years don’t start until the six-month Junior period (July to January) ends and only after you’ve cleared the Junior Make Debut race. Once you're there, use the Recreation option to go on friendly visits; there’s a good chance the Claw Machine will show up.

Your next goal after the debut race is to gain 5,000 fans, so you’ll need to keep building fame while trying to activate the Claw Machine event. If you only use outings and skip races that give fans, your trainee’s career might end early, and you won't be able to wrap up this mission.

After the mini-game kicks in, your goal is to grab at least three plushies using the device. You only get three tries in one round, and if you miss them, the game ends, meaning you'll have to try to trigger it again, which can take several Career Training days. So be careful while you're at it.

If you're unsure how it works, you can complete the “Obtain 3 or more Plushies from the Claw Machine in a Career Playthrough” mission in Umamusume Pretty Derby by clicking on the screen when the claw perfectly lines up with the plushie underneath. You’ll need a bit of practice to pull this off, though. Just do it three times to wrap up the task and earn 100 Carats as a reward. You can then use those Carats in the gacha to roll for new characters or support cards.
