The Madness system is introduced fairly early on, right after your first death in Wuchang: Fallen Feathers. The more you die, the higher your Madness level becomes. At maximum Madness, you take increased damage but also deal more in return. Some skills only become usable once your Madness reaches a certain threshold. Divine Gift and Fragment of the Divine Gift are key items tied to this system. This guide covers how players can obtain them and where they are used in Wuchang: Fallen Feathers.
What to Do With Bamboo Shoots in Wuchang Fallen Feathers (Panda Location)
Bamboo Shoot is an exchangeable item in Wuchang: Fallen Feathers. Here is how players can get it and where to find the NPC to turn it in.
How to Get the Divine Gift and Fragment of the Divine Gift in Wuchang Fallen Feathers
Divine Gift is an item that players can acquire in Shu Sanctum. When approaching the Sanctum, you’ll find a statue that prompts you to "Pay Your Respects Before the God of Shu’s Statue." Interacting with the statue repeatedly will give the same prompt until you perform the Worship Gesture. Upon doing so, you’ll receive your first Divine Gift. Inside Shu Sanctum, head upstairs and speak to Qiao Ying, standing next to the gold statue. After the conversation, you’ll receive another Divine Gift, which can be used at any point in the game.
As for the Fragment of the Divine Gift, farming this item is much easier. You’ll need to use the Invoke feature available at any Shrine. The goal is to max out your Madness level, which typically happens by dying multiple times, but the Invoke feature does this while also granting additional items, some of which are quite useful. Once your Madness is full, die near a Shrine so that upon revival, a Humanoid enemy will appear and attack you. You must deal with it to reclaim your lost Red Mercury. This enemy has a chance of dropping the Fragment of the Divine Gift.
The Humanoid can also drop Plumed Branch, so you can repeat this method until you have gathered enough of both items.
It is important to note that Tao Qing inside Shu Sanctum sells five Fragments of the Divine Gift for 500 Red Mercury each, and Wu Gang sells them for 5,000 Red Mercury.
Using Divine Gift and Fragment of the Divine Gift in Wuchang Fallen Feathers
Once you acquire the Divine Gift or the Fragment, you must make your way to any golden statue that you can find. These statues have a few options, such as handing over the Divine Gift or the Fragment of the Divine Gift. The purpose of handing over these items is to reduce your Madness level in case you do not wish to fight the Humanoid enemy. Since the increased damage taken from maxed-out Madness can be difficult to manage for some players, having the option to completely clear the Madness is useful.
Players will also find the Trinity Bell, which offers the same effect as these Divine Gift items, but it’s better to hold onto it, mainly because one of the NPCs inside Shu Sanctum asks for it.
