Teamwork plays a big part in the core gameplay experience of Battlefield 6. With up to 32 players in each team, things can get hectic very quickly, and if you need some breathing, you can (almost) always rely on your team to back you up. Many of the mechanics from the previous games in the series carried over to this one, but there's been a bit of confusion regarding how to heal teammates.
Healing the team is the Support's job in Battlefield 6, but thanks to a few QoL and UI changes, some players have been left wondering how this class is supposed to heal in the first place. We'll be clearing that confusion up with this guide while also providing some tips on healing-related challenges.
How to Farm XP & Level Up Fast in Battlefield 6
Here are some things to keep in mind for when you want to get as much XP as possible in Battlefield 6.
How to Heal as Support in Battlefield 6
The GOLIATH Supply Bag is the Support's signature gadget, and it is essentially the Medic and Ammo Bag from the previous games combined into one. Once you place a Supply Bag down, it will automatically heal and resupply ammo for anyone nearby. However, the healing part only works if you or an ally are not actively taking damage. The same applies to the GOLIATH Compact Supply Pouch.
Additionally, the new Support Trait called Squad Supplies lets squadmates interact with Support players to get health and ammo, so if your squaddie isn't dropping any Supply Bags for you, you can always pick some from their packs yourself. There's also the Support Class Ability called Restock Allies, which turns you into a walking Supply Bag for 10 seconds. This is available once you earn enough XP in-match for your current Field Spec.
The healing confusion stems from the fact that unlike past Battlefield games, a Healing score pop-up does not appear whenever you are healing teammates in BF6. The game lets you know that you've resupplied them, but not that you've also healed them.
You can confirm this by tracking one of the Support class challenges in BF6 that involves healing teammates. The number will go up when an injured ally comes in contact with one of your Supply Bags, or if a squadmate grabs supplies from you directly. If the challenge isn't tracking for you, then it might be due to a connection issue or a bug with the game itself.
Speaking of Support challenges, you can heal teammates for 5,000 as Support quickly by placing a Supply Bag on top of a downed teammate. Tap your Defibrillators on them to revive them at half health, then let the Supply Bag heal them the rest of the way back.
