Wuchang: Fallen Feathers takes players on an unforgiving adventure across a province ravaged by plague and war, and here, players will get to fight all manners of men and monsters using both magic and martial arts.

The game follows the traditional Soulslike story blueprint, and while it's a bit less cryptic than its predecessors, it should still feel very familiar to any of the subgenre's veterans. If you're wondering how long it would take to beat Wuchang: Fallen Feathers, here's a rough estimate.

How Many Hours to Beat Wuchang: Fallen Feathers

wuchang fallen feathers release time

The average Wuchang: Fallen Feathers first playthrough is expected to last anywhere between 40–60 hours. As with most Soulslike games, the time it takes to beat this one depends greatly on the player's skill.

Everything in the game is lethal, from the regular enemies to the bosses and the plethora of environmental hazards and traps scattered about the levels. Some bosses are fairly easy, while others may take players an hour's worth of time to beat or more based on how good they are or how strong they manage to become through their builds.

How Many Locations are in Wuchang: Fallen Feathers?

The game features five major regions, each with several sub-regions and locations. The levels in Wuchang: Fallen Feathers are sprawling, and players can expect to find many branching paths and shortcuts that lead to checkpoints and other important areas.

For reference, the first major region took us roughly eight hours to explore, and so did the subsequent regions — this was without fully exploring the locations and focusing solely on progression. Players can clear these levels quicker of they run through enemies and focus on fighting bosses (as is tradition).

Are There Sidequests in Wuchang: Fallen Feathers?

Yes, there are plenty of them, and they're all tied to the various NPCs players meet during their adventure. These sidequests mainly involve fetching items or meeting characters in certain places, and players who want to complete every sidequest will need to thoroughly explore the game's maps.

The game does not track your sidequest progress, nor does it really tell you that there are sidequests at all. However, if you speak with the Dark Souls-like NPCs until you exhaust their unique dialogue lines, they'll usually reappear again somewhere later down the road.

As a rule of thumb, always speak with NPCs until they run out of things to say, and whenever you pick up some sort of strange item, check in with the merchants and other story-related NPCs.
