What's a Level in Monopoly GO?

monopoly go board

There are two types of levels in Monopoly GO: board level and player level. The player level refers to your overall net worth in the game. The higher your net worth, the higher your player level.

On the other hand, board level is what most people mean when they talk about levels in Monopoly GO. It shows how many boards a player has completed.

How Many Levels (Boards) Are in Monopoly GO?

Monopoly GO doesn’t really have a limit on levels (or boards). At first, it started with 150 boards, but the game kept adding more over time with regular updates. From what we know, the game now has over 1,500 boards, and the number just keeps growing.

Having said that, you won’t be able to see all the boards right away on your screen. The game only shows a few at first, and as you complete them, more boards unlock. So players just have to keep playing to unlock new ones.

The board names are pretty cool in Monopoly GO. They range from real cities like New York, London, and Las Vegas to fictional places like Sofia’s Shop, Creature Kingdom, and Toy City. And just to quickly mention, not all players will see the same board names.

If you want to check your board level in Monopoly GO, you’ll need to click on the Menu icon at the top right side of the screen and go to the Map option. There, you’ll find all the boards (or cities) that you have completed. Completing them not only helps you move forward in the game but also gives you some really great rewards.

How to Complete Boards in Monopoly GO

To complete boards, players will need to buy landmarks. Every Monopoly GO board has five buildings you can build using money. You can get money by joining events, tournaments, or doing shutdowns and bank heists.

Once you have enough cash, you can construct buildings by going to the ‘Build’ option in the bottom menu. And yes, each landmark has five upgrades, so you’ll need to upgrade it five times. In the beginning, upgrading your landmarks is pretty cheap, but the costs get higher as you complete boards. If you are just getting started, one helpful tip is to always protect your landmarks with shields. If other players keep shutting them down, it will slow you down a lot.
