Death Stranding 2: On The Beach has a lot of enemies that will get in Sam's way during deliveries. With the additional focus on combat in this game compared to the original Death Stranding, Sam now has more weapons to work with that help handle any threat that comes his way.
While you'll have an abundance of weapons to choose from, your major issue will be ammo, as you'll already be managing so much cargo. Inventory management is one of the most important parts of the game, so simply carrying a bunch of guns won't always be a good solution. Here's how to refill your ammo to help you save on fabrication supplies.
All Difficulty Option Differences in Death Stranding 2
Death Stranding 2 has a few difficulty options for players to select, but which of them is right for your playstyle, and what will it affect?
How to Refill Ammo in Death Stranding 2: On The Beach
Every time you enter your Private Room, either in a safe house or aboard the DHV Magellan, all your ammo will be refilled for all currently held guns. No matter how much ammo has been used or is left, entering your private room will bring all guns in your inventory back to full ammo. This can be done as often as you'd like and even exploited, as there is no timer or limitation on when you can get more ammo.
Small letters will appear along the left side of the screen when entering a Private Room, indicating all ammo has been replenished.
Private Rooms can be found in any larger safehouse, so you won't be able to refill your ammo at just any Prepper's house. This makes it important to hang onto weapons that have run out of ammo when out in the field. While it may seem like a good idea to just drop them to help with your overall carry capacity, hanging on to the gun and not fabricating a new one will save you a lot of resources in the long run.
You can not refill grenades and will have to fabricate new ones.
Guns that run out of ammo will appear with red letters saying, "Empty", but this doesn't mean they are worthless. You can essentially stick with the same guns throughout the entire game and constantly refill their ammo as needed. Each gun has a set amount of ammo that can be carried with it, so carrying an additional weapon of the same type will give you an additional ammo reserve that can also be refilled whenever you return to a safehouse.
Death Stranding 2: All Stats & How to Upgrade Them
Death Stranding 2 has quite a few stats for Sam to improve his abilities in and out of combat, but what do they do and how can they be upgraded?
Should You Fabricate New Guns in Death Stranding 2?
Fabricating new weapons means using new materials. While it may seem like an easy or convenient option, it's sometimes best to save your materials when possible and try to find weapons. Guns are fairly common finds at bandit camps, so as long as you can take out one or two, it's easy to use their own weapons against them. Chiril Crystals are crucial for making new guns, but hanging onto them when possible will also increase your carry capacity, which will offer much better benefits in the long run.
Most BT areas or boss fight arenas will also have a lot of weapons to pick up, so going in with only one or two weapons will often be enough if you're accurate.
